Saw an episode of it last night. Not too bad. Nothing incredible but it's at least watchable.

I have no idea why something like that wouldn't go on a network channel instead of some of the stupid arse gladiator shows or singing contest shows or whatever. Network programming is absolutely horrible.

I watched the pilot last night (and two free preview episodes on the net) and I really like it.
It's nothing ground-breaking, but it doesn't need to be. He's really funny and the rest of the cast is great. Also, a lot of big name cameos coming up.

He discussed this with his wife on WTF? with Marc Maron. Basically, the networks kept fricking him over. Then he got to TV Land and they were a whole lot more accommodating. He's been trying to get this thing off the ground for something like 5 years or more.

He's better off on cable. They'll give him a ton of time to get things going. On a network he'd be sweating making it through the first season.

And he's got a good window next to Impastor.

Two good shows.

In general, people are never known for their very best work. That's not close to the top of my favorite bits of his.

I thought it was pretty funny. I laughed out loud a couple of times, including when he tells his wife to be sure and tell his pastor and update his Wiki page as the whole family is in the doctor's office. As I laughed, I realized this is something I don't do with 90 percent of the comedies on TV.

I think his standup is very good. Not easy to be clean. The way he uses another voice as the crowd heckling him during his act is genius and very funny. He's unique. My 11 year old quotes his act all the time in life situations and that's pretty cool a person of any age can enjoy him. That's not easy to do by any means.
