I always like the ending of the show where they show the real video footage of the real dad and brother pretty much acting like they actors did in the ep.

I usually take the fact that someone feels the need to say this as meaning that it is dumb as dog shite.

I watched a couple of episodes and did not laugh once. Never thought of myself as miserable or pretentious but its always a pleasure coming to the movie board to discover new shortcomings.
I just don't find the show humorous.

The last two shows i thought were hilarious.
Wife and i were both laughing.
I've been enjoying it more and more with each showing. First two i wasn't so into, but it's getting better and i really like it now.
I also think the daughter is sexy as hell.
And i do enjoy the actual footage at the end of the show.
SPoilers:
The mom yelling at the dad to wake the frick up when the neighbors were over. I died laughing when she said that.
Finding Barry face down in a ditch when looking for him b/c he didn't call when he got there. then Barry telling his dad the phillies lost when he was trying to watch the game he VCR'd.
Barry calling the 976 number
Talking into the remote
Getting the dad to say "i'm your father" while holding the light saber.
"I've fallen and I can't get up" bit

This show is unwatchable. I have tried twice and can't make it more than 15 minutes. Really bad. The story focuses on a Jewish suburban family that basically act like WASPS. They might as well have based the story on a family of WASPS or made the Jewish family act Jewish. The show really sucks.

Good lord, you realize the show is based on Adam Goldberg's real family? And judging by the real footage shown they got the personalities pretty close. Are they not Jewish enough for you?

I don't know, it was mostly just plain awful. The show behind it, Trophy Wife, was just as bad.

It's not for everybody. I'm guessing age has a lot to do with it. But so far they've tackled scrambled porn and 976 numbers. Both are near and dear to my heart.

I've gotten a few good laughs out of every episode. I guess maybe it's because I was a preteen and a teenager in the '80s and it hits things pretty spot-on. I'll keep watching.
