Holy shite, what a movie. I saw it today and was shocked that it was sold out, I can't remember the last that happened. But in all seriousness see this movie, you won't be disappointed.

Damn, sold out? Might be the surprise of the summer.

Granted it was an 8:15 showing on Friday night, but even with that I was surprised to see the crowd.

It'll probably benefit from the fact that Fantastic 4 is such a disaster. People are probably seeing how great this movie is being received by the critics. I'm anxious to see how it does this weekend. I know I can't wait to see it.

It's being critically acclaimed. I'll check it out.

I was thinking of seeing this later today, then if the times line up right walking into Fantastic 4 after. No way I'm paying for the latter.

Just got back from it. I know it had critical acclaim so I was expecting a decent movie, but it was even better than I was expecting. All three actors do a great job, and the story is solid. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun theater going experience.

A different movie than what the trailers make it out to be. Not a horror movie.

Not as good as I hoped. If you payed attention, the ending was given away around a third through the movie.

It tried to be so smart, and it almost pulled it off. Good acting from the leads. Good direction from Edgerton. It's just the fact that the ending was choreographed early, instead of being a "twist."

The trailer sure doesn't do it any favors.

Agreed. It looks atrocious but every review I've read says it's a must see so I'll check it out. Holy god it comes across in previews as Purge 2 level terrible.

Saw it tonight.

It was pretty good. I thought all the actors did a great job.

The ending was telegraphed though.

It's good.

It's not mind blowingly awesome or anything, but it's a solid movie, especially compared to a lot of what's showing right now.

I just got back from it. I thought it was good compared to what else is out there. I thought the ending was predictable but didn't feel cheated.

It's comparable to Gone Girl but the story telling isn't as strong. I'm satisfied with my matinee cost. I would say B.

I was very impressed by Jason Bateman but I think his performance deserved a better movie. The villain may as well have been from outer space so it kind of cheapened what should have and could have been a more grounded drama about a wife who comes to realize her husband is a scumbag. The way they tried to cross-pollinate that with the Enigmatic Stalker With A Secret thriller template didn't work for me.

Agreed. I also frankly wasn't entertained, especially early on.

Knowing nothing going into this movie, I really thought that the other guy was Dean Cain the whole time and was thinking about how good of a job he was doing. It wasn't until the credits that I found out it wasn't him.
