They've done some pretty good casting so far. Even though they changed Iris's ethnicity, I think the actress definitely will work as Iris in this show. Like I said earlier in the thread, I was somewhat concerned that Gustin would be able to pull of Barry Allen, but after watching the pilot that concern has been relieved. He may not make the same Barry Allen from the comics, but he can definitely put his own stamp on the character.

I was kind of hoping that CW would put Arrow and Flash back to back so that they could do some 2 hour long crossovers from time to time. But they may want to keep the crossovers to a minimum in order to keep the meta-powered people from flooding into Arrow, at least for now.

I've read through several pages and have absolutely no idea what anyone is talking about. I might as well be reading Mandarin.

I'm okay with the black Iris because it brought in Jesse L. Martin who is a big deal to have on a CW show. I reserve the right to change my mind if we get a crappy Wally West out of the deal.

i feel like they may have done this since the new wally west is black. idk why they didnt change her in the comics as well. but yeah, the actress is great so no issues.

i like that it would be back to back nights though. so at least you get a little cliffhanger as opposed to a 2 minute cliff hanger. im sure there will be some crossovers for sure.

What happens if the rifts caused by Star Labs interact with people affected by Mirakuru...

I was hoping for this too at first. But being the lead in to Supernatural is a very good thing for The Flash. Even going into season 10 Supernatural is still one of the highest rated shows on the CW and that helped The Originals a lot last season.

I have a feeling in terms of Grodd you wont actually see a gorilla for awhile. He will probably appear as a person at first and hes controlling that person telepathically. Then Barry will discover its a gorilla. I think that limits the huge expense and also gets people more comfortable with a giant, super powered gorilla.

Remind me of Doomsday from Smallville... ugh

Big difference: Doomsday didn't manipulate and control people behind the scenes, he was a killer who didn't know what he was.

Grodd is a puppet master, until he's cornered...then he's an 800 lb Gorilla with a huge ego and powers more violent than Charles Xavier.

i was very surprised and a bit disappointed he didnt come back. i mean they read the freakin poem and everything. hes got to be coming back.

eta: after thinking about bruce wayne, is it pretty much a lock this will never happen? say DC is thinking about connecting their movies and shows, then they couldnt have 2 different actors playing Bruce at the same time. I dont think we will see any of the film actors/characters in the shows until that is at least 100% decided.

If Slade survived with an arrow stabbed through his eye in the bottom of the island bay, I think Cyrus would've survived an explosion and some chemicals splashing in his face (I think that's what happened to him).

You know he will be back. Chemical splash will be the reason for his dead like look.

Just started it and, as someone who watched the original Flash tv show whenever it was on the air, I was momentarily confused. In the first flashback, the flash as I know him is playing his dad in the flashback and I thought, "That's the flash. Why is he the dad?" Obviously calibrated pretty quickly.

Got around to watching it and I have to say i'm impressed. Even though I enjoyed Smallville this kind of makes you wish it was done today opposed to back then

Yeah, if they are entertaining the thought of introducing Bruce Wayne to the Arrow show, it would have to be several seasons down the road. That's why I said they could introduce Nightwing and make off hand mentions of Bruce/Batman like they have with Ted Kord for a couple of seasons, and then they could introduce him once they figure out how they are going to handle their tv and movie worlds.

If it all. I'm thinking that with Gotham on Fox with a Bruce Wayne on their show, will kind of preclude a Bruce appearance on Arrow or Flash.

Yes please.

Word is, we're getting Blue Beetle this season. I'm a big Ted Kord fan so this pleases me as long as he's not a huge part of the season. There's enough traffic going through the Arrow Cave right now as it is.

Yeah, there Barry was introduced in two back to back episodes in last season's Arrow.

And btw...you need to catch up on the 1st two seasons of Arrow.
