I hope that the Wayne/Queen merger is foreshadowing of some future plot points for Arrow, and not just some easter egg.

i really think its an Easter Egg. Even if its not, the headline is 10 years from now. I doubt Arrow gets 12 seasons or even enough to get close to that headline.

But that paper has to be hinting at one of the big "crisis" events. The only one that really had Flash at the center was Infinite Earths. If Wells isnt Garrick, i think that character will pop up at some point. Or maybe they use Wally West instead

Wells could be the Monitor or the Anti-Monitor. Or that horrible Pariah character (if we're going with Crisis on Infinite Earths).

But it's time travel, so we may not have to wait ten years. Barry could hop on the Cosmic Treadmill and get to 2025 by the end of this season.

this could be a very interesting spin. i would rather them hold off on barry using the treadmill so early. this show seems like it will be way more sci fi than Arrow. they did show ferris air center, so could GL be in their plans?

I don't see them jumping into time travel this season, and hopefully don't even mention it out loud (so to speak) until at least the last half of season 2 or season 3 (if that's the route they want to go down). Heck, I think they should probably hold off on some of their crazier characters (like actually seeing Grodd or even a GL) for a little while until the audience has had a chance to get acclimated to this new meta-powered world. But since they have already thrown out the term meta, just about everything in the DC universe is on the table (although some of it would have to be somewhat reconned for tv).

I have a feeling in terms of Grodd you wont actually see a gorilla for awhile. He will probably appear as a person at first and hes controlling that person telepathically. Then Barry will discover its a gorilla. I think that limits the huge expense and also gets people more comfortable with a giant, super powered gorilla.

Flashpoint Paradox basically crashed the DC Universe and instigated a hard reset

Do they make Wally Iris' brother or nephew...and with the change in race, who would play him?

The final scene of the pilot kinda indicates time travel will at least be present in season one.

It would be a ridiculous nerdgasm if they had Powers Boothe voice him.

Thanks Box, the cookie was awesome but I just looked down and realized that I'm sitting at my desk in a thong. You put angel dust in my birthday cookie again didn't you?

I agree. Arrow has a fraction of the universe of story concepts and characters that Flash has to work with even they started getting a little wild in season 2.

Not a bad idea with Grodd controlling a person/persons before he actually shows. I'm assuming he's already in Central City right now, maybe trying to find a way back to Gorilla City? Perhaps that will be the endgame behind his first appearance.

I'm thinking still her nephew. We still have to see if there's mention of Joe having another kid aside from Iris.

I miss old Wally. That was a great character.

Was the link legit?

Did you actually get to see the pilot episode?

Oh, I know they've already hinted at in the final scene and in another scene that comic readers know about, but what I'm saying is that I don't think that it needs to come out in the open for Barry and the audience until at least next season. I expect them to keep hinting at it this season though.

Oh it was legit. If you want to see it now, you better get to it before it gets taken down.

he really was. big shame that they couldnt make him work elsewhere like their earth-2 line.

but with these type of shows, wally may not even show up at all or could be someone completely unrelated to iris. i mean, are we going to have a kid flash to someone who is in their mid-20s?

He was just reintroduced in the New 52 as Iris's young nephew but the story involves time travel and a teenage Wally from the near future.

I don't care what they do, it won't be the old Wally. Oh well. I've still got all the back issues to read. The bastards can't take those from me.

I was just thinking about all the great Wally stories and his own Zoom. then I remembered zoom. Eddie Thawne in the pilot sounds EXACTLY like wally's Zoom, Hunter Zolomon. yeah the names are different. but zoom was in the police force with wally, worked with him and encountered the flash a lot, they became friends until Grodd paralyzes Hunter. All of this points to Eddie becoming Wally's Zoom.

isnt iris's brother a new version of Zoom? so is wally his kid?
eta: i just read up on the new wally. he sounds awful. the flash story in general seems pretty messy right now.

Didn't think of that. Kinda merging two Reverse Flashs.

Yeah the brother is the new Reverse Flash. Not sure if Wally is his kid. I assume he is though. I don't read Flash anymore. Stopped right before the Reverse Flash storyline.

I'd like to see the Cosmic Treadmill this season, even if it's just for some random use and they realize that Barry was starting to phase out of existence for a split second.

Love that they're already building up Snow as a bitter ice queen. And Vibe is already an obnoxious little twerp :)

The fall schedule for the CW just came out. Flash will premier on Tuesday October 7th at 8PM EST. Arrow is on Wednesday October 8th at 8PM EST with an encore episode of The Flash playing right after it for the first two weeks before The 100 returns behind Arrow on the 22nd.

Yes and yes. I like both of them and have since they were on Arrow. Like a Flash version of Fitz and Simmons from Shield.
