I'm 10 minutes in. Could Iris be any more worthless? Why are the other characters enabling her entitled selfishness? I would tell her to get over it because there are far more important things at stake. I hope she dies this episode.

Not really. For as well CW does DC. The love interest for their shows are absolute shite.
ETA: but that may just be DC with the news about Lois and Clark released the other day.

Iris is my least favorite character on flash or arrow. Again, I blame her Jackson, MS upbringing.

Iris = Lana Lang from Smallville, the single worst character ever created on any show or movie or play since the beginning of time. Lana was thankfully booted eventually. I'll hold out hope that Iris will be as well.

In the comics the cosmic treadmill actually looked like a treadmill. But I'm guessing that is what it is suppose to be.

I'm thinking it's the treadmill also. Instead of the typical type of treadmill you see at the gym, it's more as an earlier poster said, loop. Much like a particle acelerator?!?!?!?

Good question. My guess is that it is an all male staff that is trying to guess how to write a woman that would appeal to women fans. Seth McFarlane said that Meg sucks so much because it is a bunch of male writers that have no clue how to write a teenage girl.

While Iris was being Iris my girlfriend turned to me semi pissed and asked why the girls in shows like this always suck so much. She was cursing at Iris during the episode way more than I ever do.
I agree that she seriously sucks and I don't understand why Eddie or Barry would be so sprung on her.

I thought he was pretty sweet and it was cool how they explained what he is (meta-primeape). Using Eiling was a nice touch, I wasn't sure where that gold robber story was going early in the episode.
