The first movie that truly disappointed you (childhood/teen years)

I was ten years old. He-man was one of my favorite cartoons and toy lines. I was pumped when the film was announced. I had my mom take pics of me and my best friend standing next to the coming soon poster for Masters of the Universe outside of the local theater in Dalton, Georgia. Months later, we stood in line on opening night, bought large bags of popcorn and huge cups of Cherry Coke, and eagerly got our seats. We were ready for a life changing event.
What we got was our first taste of complete disappointment. We were mad actually and didn't want to talk about it. We had my mom bring us back to the arcade (at the mall) to burn off our aggravation and burn through a bag of quarters.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 I think stands as the ultimate one. This guy puts it well: LINK

I used to be big into superheroes. I liked spiderman, hulk, daredevil, x-men but superman returns pretty much ruined super heroes for me. Never been quite the same after i saw that movie

Street Fighter was really bad but Super Mario Brothers came first so I'm gonna go with that.

For me it was Phantom Menace. I was 12 when it came out. I had seen a bunch of stinkers up until that time but I was young enough to at least trick myself into liking them. But when Phantom Menace came out I was starting to reach the age where I wasn't able to do that as well. I was caught up in all the hooplah of the movie... Bought the figures.. Collected the Pepsi cans... After actually seeing it, those just became reminders of the emptiness that the experience left me with. It pretty much killed my love of movies for the next 5 years. I missed seeing any of the LOTR movies in the theater, sure as hell didn't go to see Attack of the Clones.

The transformers cartoon one where prime died. I was pretty young and it was way heavier than your average episode of transformers or go bots. I completely checked out during it. I also hated the live action masters of universe. frick that movie.

I've always been a big movie goer. When I was young I gad the mentality that if it was in the theatre then it was event worthy and watchable. Went to see QUEST FOR FIRE..... So bad I walked out. Couldn't believe I actually walked out on a movie. The fact that I had to balance the idea that I did the right thing with guilt on walking out of a movie cracks me up today

Whatever that video game movie with Fred Savage was called. I know I went into it thinking it was going to be AMAZING, and that I'd have to see it multiple times. I walked out of the theater thinking I'd just watched a 2 hour long commercial for Super Mario 3 and the power glove.

I felt the same way until the day I saw Masters of the Universe (87 film).
I was so sad...

The Wizard. The fact that it was basically a two hour Nintendo commercial is what made it great.

I was 14-15 when it came out. I knew it was probably not going to win awards, but my friends, cousins, I were huge Nintendo fans. We went, and I enjoyed it for what it was.
I hated that damn Power Glove, though. That thing sucked!

You hated the Transformers movie (85)???? Or did you just hate the fact that Optimus died?
I loved the film and still love it today!

IB4 3 year old Carson complains about the pace, costumes, lighting, set, forced dialogue, and his utter disappointment in Amadeus.

Great White.
As I look it up, it was only released in the US for 1 month before being pulled because of a lawsuit since it was a Jaws ripoff.
I think I went with a group of kids for my birthday.
Terrible Jaws ripoff. I don't remember many movies that I didn't like but that one sticks out.
