The early/mid 80’s were a great time to grow up movie wise.

There so many more great movies aimed at kids or that kids could enjoy then. Goonies, Last Starfighter, Never Ending Story, Flight of the Navigator. Some of the adult movies were still great for kids. Raiders, Ghostbusters, Empire Strikes, Return of Jedi. What are some others you remember?

Same group of kids were beginning teenage years when Arnold and Stallone were in their prime.

Some plots were weak on rewatching, but the players were way more charismatic.

Yep, before the 80's the only kids movies were Disney type stuff. The invention of the VCR gave studios a reason to make movies kids would enjoy.
