This just shows you how foreign markets are becoming more and more prevalent in the box office success of some of these films.

The Fate of the Furious made $224 million at the U.S. box office. And yet its overall gross was $1.23 billion. That means that only 18% of its box office intake came from U.S. audiences. Of the 30 films that have went on to gross over a $1 billion worldwide, that is by far the lowest percentage intake from the United States.

Box office mojo has started tracking how many viewers at a movie in the us are white or not. Most viewers are not white.

I don't Know. Probably a similar fashion as to how they track the age demographics and gender demographics.

This is white privilege. Whitey has all those fancy TVs and surround sound so they don't need to go to the movies.

When Hollywood freaks stay out of politics, maybe these numbers change. I mean Tom Hanks was hangin with Obama and his movie tanked. I really believe this has an effect.

Yep that is why they will be making Gobal movies and not movies for your local country.

Another example: The Mummy bombed in the US this weekend.

It was one of the biggest box office openings ever in Korea.
