The book seems to be mediocre after the reading the reviews. I still want to give it a try though.

I like the top comment on the YouTube video:

Sounds like a Black Mirror episode.

This looks like it will bomb like Transcendence.

And sort of looks like the Tech version of Robin Cook's Coma (1978) - A Chrichton vibe sole dissenters against big bad companies.

Just looks like none of the Harry Potter kids can really act. Still the same awkward "what the shite is going on" looks on their faces.

Folks connected to the franchise have hinted that Rupert Grint was the most talented of the main three actors and that Tom Felton and Matthew Lewis might be the best actors of the youngsters.

Emma Watson is in that dreaded, not a really bad actress but not quite willing to do nude scenes to establish herself role. She's a good hand with some credentials behind her but she has to nail something soon or she's going to slip into the "famous for being famous" zone.

Plus, she's really not that great looking.

I was on the fence about this, but I think her insufferable SJW feminism has convinced me to see it.

To be fair most of her activism is speaking up for women in the third world. She's actually been attacked by SJWs for not doing enough for women even though she works at the UN

You heard me.

I swear, some people equate hotness and fame. She's skinny as shite and looks like a 13 year old boy. Snap out of it.

A bit of an exaggeration here.

I mean she isn't the hottest thing in the world, but I would definitely pound that arse.

Not really, but that's not a bad thing anyway.

I just watched the trailer, and although I don't know anything more than that about the movie, I think it's safe to say that you're off on your assessment. Big bad companies?

The use of dystopian stories to highlight man's attempts to create utopias which go against our nature transcend the simple "big bad company" narratives.

I don't know if this story/movie hits the right notes, but in my opinion, we are moving way too fast culturally and are not doing enough introspection about the world we are creating. There aren't enough cautionary dystopian stories, or we aren't paying attention to them enough, in my view.

It seems to me that Gen X'ers are more worried about it than Millenials (Baby Boomers as a whole are too self absorbed to notice). Maybe it's just unfamiliarity with the technology for Gen Xers, or perhaps it's naivete for the Millenials. We shall see.

She's highly attractive. Is she the hottest woman in the world? No way. But you are just trying to be edgy by saying she isn't great looking. Charlize, for example, is better looking and a better actress, but Emma Watson is a great looking woman.

Now so far as acting... I have yet to see evidence that she's a good actress. She's competent. She's not a druggy or stupid and she knows the industry so they can count on her, but she doesn't have a genius for it that I can see.

This reminds me of Antitrust where Tim Robbins played an evil Bill Gates.

Some of yall are so ridiculous. She starred in one of the most successful movie franchises of all time and is about to be a Disney Princess in a movie that is going to make eleventy billion dollars.

The Emma Watson hate obsession from some yall on this site is worse than the Kate Upton hate.

Some of y'all spend too much time whacking off to your memories of a teen aged girl from the Harry Potter movies. Her post Harry Potter career has been lack luster at best with her missing out on some very good roles.

She will probably bounce back with Beauty and Beast. I actually hope she does. But if that movie craters then she will have had a string of under performing movies to mark her adult career. If she doesn't want to slip into the famous for being famous zone she needs a commercial and critical hit.
