Wouldn't it be more ironic if they drove to the airport and their plane crashed?

But seriously, not a fan of this commercial.

Need more of the Subaru golden retriever family. That shite cracks me up every time.

They think they're people.

What started as an enjoyable ad has now ruined the song for me.

I thought I was the only one. Weezer is one of the GOAT 90s band. This commercial is ruining the frickin song and it pisses me off.

welcome to getting old and seeing the beloved songs of your coming up relegated to elevator music and commercial jingles.

Try marathoning a show on Hulu Plus.

Think I've seen that add about 700 times in the last two weeks.

The idea is that people in that era are growing up and having kids. The kids know the song because their parents love it and play it all the time.

And btw, this commercial is fricking awesome.

I love that commercial, even though Honda sucks.

That was one of my jams in middle school.

Is it not a total rip off of the Crazy Train commercial from a few years ago?

Which was a total ripoff of the scene with Derek and his family singing "Sweet Child O' Mine" in the car in Step brothers.

Yeah, I hate that Buddy Holly commercial. Ruins the freaking song.

The idea that kids would willingly group sing one of their parents favorite old songs is even crazier. This is the furthest thing from my childhood experience that I can imagine

I have never heard the song, or heard of the group that sings it, for that matter.

It's awful. The girl that sings the "front" part of "why do they gotta front" doesn't just sing it wrong like "uh oh, little pitchy dog"; it's more like "Oh shite, now I gotta stab myself in the eye cuz it would be better than listening to that".

Somebody making that commercial had to listen to the playback on that and think "Yes! That's the take! Nailed it!" And that guy made a LOT of money failing that badly. Amazing.

At those kids' age, I listened to a lot of 60s/70s rock, so I'd have been down with with a family song a long of Allman Brothers' One Way Out.

I was never a big Weezer fan, mostly indifferent about them. After watching the music video, that is impressive as hell for the 90s. Whoever made that is a badass.
