I read posts raving about it on here so went see it today. It was horrible. I had a few laughs but it was a complete miss IMO. Throw on your copy of Happy Gilmore instead and save money.

I was planning on seeing it but prolly not now. I actually watched Jack and Jill and the other day and I can honestly say it was the worst thing ever made. I can't imagine how that movie got made and wtf was Al Pacino thinking!?

Never saw Jack and Jill so I can't say anything about it. The best part about TMB was Vanilla Ice, and that says a lot

Adam Sandler can't win with some people.

They cry and whine. "why did he stop making shite like Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore?"

Then he makes a movie that fits right fricking in with those, stylistically, and then it's "why does he make stupid humor movies?"

If you do this at the movies, then you'll be fine no matter what.

I went into Monkeybone with no expectations.

The movie still sucked like no movie I have ever seen. Ever.

Unless you are just nit-picking grammar.

Well yeah sometimes the movie flat out sucks even with no expectations. It happens.

Maybe I should have said that there are some movies that should have expectations like TDKR for example. But those are a select few.

You have no idea.

It still makes me want to punch Rose McGowan and Brendan Frasier in their respective genitalia.

I remember watching Monkeybone on tv maybe 5 years ago and thinking...If I was high, I would still think this was the worst movie ever.

I just watched it last night, and it had me laughing out loud quite a few times, as did the whole crowd. It's a stupid humor comedy, and Andy Samberg's style of humor definitely was infused. It was the type of humor Sandler has needed in a stupid comedy for a while. It won't win any awards, but it was a good movie imo.

From an article I read

quote:

He is one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars which allows him to command $20 million per movie along with very impressive percentages of a films GROSS profits. That’s gross profits not net profits. FYI that is a gross amount of money when you consider some of those films earned over $150 million at the US box office alone. For the movie Anger Management Sandler earned $25 million plus 25% of the gross which was roughly $150 million. That’s an extra $37.5 million in the Sandman’s pocket.

From Jack and Jills Wiki page:
Budget $79 million
Box office (Worldwide) $149,673,788

The reason his movies get made is the same reason Tyler Perry is a millionaire and there are 15 shitty reality/gameshows to every good sitcom or drama on television these days. They make money.

Mike Judge looks more and more like a prophet every day.

I saw it this past weekend. I actually thought it was funny. Not the greatest, but definitely watchable and entertaining.

I lol'd when the son told the priest about his shite breath.
