One of my favorite adventure/family films to watch as a kid.

Needs to be a little bit "edgier" than the original Disney version, but a pg-13 rating would do I believe.

Christoph Waltz could play Papa Robinson.

Pirates, islands, exotic animals.

Make it happen, Hollywood.

It's going to happen sooner or later, hopefully it won't be too hokey.

I agree, though, it's a great flick that SHOULD be left alone, but it won't be.

I mean, Point Break has already been remade. I'm done holding out hope for any originality.

So, I'd be all-in on a remake, they just better get it right.

Well, it was probably an updated version and not a straight up remake.

The New Swiss Family Robinson with Jane Seymour.

Although any remake today would also probably be a re-imagining of the source material.

Just looked it up. Nahhhh, need another one...

Also took a read on Tommy kirk, the actor that killed old yeller. He got blacklisted for being lovers with a teenage boy. Uh oh.

I'd be shocked if this decade passed without it happening.

He was just ahead of his time - he would be a fricking hero now.

No - the remake will suck and be politically correct balderdash.

They need to do the Stag Magazine version.

"The Shipwrecked Lieutenant and His 33 Island Brides"

Look at that Lieutenant shoot up that Jap boat.
