She wasted that idol. Surely she could have used it to form an alliance or something.

I hate someone gets a free idol right off the bat without even earning it. I don't know why someone at CBS would do that. The guy that found it should have been able to keep it.

That former football player is nutty and not in a Russel Hantz interesting/funny way. Also why in the hell did the 1st and 2nd team not choose that puzzle that was a damn straight line?

That guy was way too paranoid this early in the game. Who is he? And what team did he play for? JP and Ashley should have voted him out. They will never be able to trust him.

Yeah now she's the weakest. She could've played it and gotten rid of Ashley .

And Alan is Alan Ball, a pretty bad CB that played most of his career for the Cowboys. Mainly a backup journeyman.

Not to mention she let her strongest ally go. I hate the young automatically = strong mentality. Yeah let's get rid of the olympian for this girl that's 25 with no skills Because bro thinks she's cute.

Alan Ball. Drafted by Cowboys then bounced around for several years. Decent career.

Yep. He's checking all the boxes of what NOT to do in Survivor.

I don't see Alan Ball lasting too long. He is physical so they will keep him around for a few tribals but eventually I can see him flipping out again and the tribe just washing their hands of him.

yeah, i was hoping they would turn on him at the first tribal.his social game may be the worst ever. i get wanting a former nfl player on your team for comps but, they got rid of an olympic swimmer. Let's see what happens when the first water base competition comes up.

I hate to be racist but black men do not do well in this format. Maybe its just the ones they select but they either try and bully the other players or totally lose it like Alan.

A black man won season 31... wasn't that long ago. I haven't watched all of the seasons so I don't know what the overall statistics say, but there's at least one.

Again, I haven't seen them all, but he's starting off just as unlikable as Scott Pollard did... maybe it's a former pro athlete thing.

He did, and played very well. Which is why I stated it the way I did. But for the most part, they do not last very long on the island.

Yeah, it's hard to survive long if you're overly aggressive, bullying, batshit crazy, or a huge physical threat.

I don't remember what season it was, but Earl won a long time ago.

Yeah, Jeremy was a great winner. Also, one of the first seasons I watched, I think the guys name was Earl that won (ETA: Just saw the post above me). Really, whether you're black or white, if you are a guy the strategy is pretty simple early on. Stay out of the way socially and allow your physical prowess to prevent you from ever becoming an option to vote out. Slowly build relationships, and you will be fine once the merge happens.

Part of it can be editing, but people get waaaaaayy too strategic and paranoid early on.

I always liked James the football player for USL he was a beast but was too big of a physical threat. He didn't have the mental game for it.

Earl played a very good strategic game that season. I don't think he made one enemy or had to backstab anyone that season.
