Do people seriously root for Ken and shiv? They both are disgusting terrible people who ruin the lives of people they “care” about.
Roman is the only one with any legit business instincts but hates legit face to face confrontation with his family so he goes along with their dumbass ideas. They legit spent 4 billion extra than the nearest bidder for a failing company to get back at their dad.
We are supposed to believe that band of dipshits is going to turn around Pearce?

Ken has demonstrated multiple times he has phenomenal business instincts but is simply incapable of either convincing enough people to follow him and/or following through on his vision.
Roman is the equivalent of a 12 year old that occasionally has good ideas but has no idea how or why

Disagree even back in the first season before his breakdown Vaulter was his baby he over paid for and then rather than cut bait he wanted to hang on. He then completely misread the room and screws up negations with the bank when the stock price was falling and had to let the snake in the door with Stewy.
All he does is use hip corporate jargon ti sound cutting edge

He’s also been the only one saying from the beginning that waystar needed to modernize and embrace technology because it’s current model is dead. Now everyone agrees that’s the right idea and they’re getting bought by a “smaller” company that does just that.
He also had Logan outmaneuvered on the cruise ship thing, but couldn’t convince Tom, Frank, or any else meaningful to join him.
He does and it’s extremely annoying and a big part of why he’s so unlikable. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t had plenty of good ideas.

Caught up on both episodes last night. Two good episodes, having said that I'm glad they are ending it after this season. Fantastic show, it just needs to wrap up.
Smell Greg fingers had me rolling. Also Greg having a talk with Kerry about her anchor audition tape.
Connor trips me out. Willa couldn't pass up the money.
Shiv is thick.
One question I had, so Kendall knows Sandi and Stewi are going to vote no to try and squeeze more cash and he also knows Mattson will walk if they ask for money? Yet, he isn't saying anything to Shiv and Roman?

No clue what Kens plan is. Shiv is up to something.
At this point I’m all Brian Cox, Greg and Tom. And I actually like Connor.

Same. Shiv is the worst.

Agreed. This is one of the best shows there is and I was really looking forward to this season but two episodes in and I'm pretty much only watching for Tom, Greg, and Roman. The daddy drama, whiney kids stuff is already tiresome this season. It's what's made the show great but there are just so many unlikeable characters it's hard not to get annoyed.

I’m curious about this as well. Is he self-sabotaging just to frick his Dad? If so, that’s unfortunate. While Kendall is a junky, he generally has a decent business mind. So there has to be an angle we haven’t seen or that’s just disappointing.
Shiv, again, thinks she’s the smartest person in the room when she’s not. Pushing the Sandi/Stewie proposal is just stupid. But I expect that from her at this point.
And poor Roman. He’s just chasing Daddy validation and Logan is going to drop him like a bad habit when Matsson blows up this deal (I love some Alexander Skarsgard). I legitimately feel bad for him.
The Inside the Episode on HBOMax gives some good insight.

Yes. That’s my impression. Shiv is doing the same thing because of how Logan helped Tom with the divorce lawyers.

Rome just wants to be loved and wanted which is why his face changes when dad called and said he needed him.
He knows he’s not an alpha and still loves his dad

Logan knows that matsson is going to blow up the deal. He’s positioning for something post deal IMO

I think he once again thinks he’s going to be in position to take over waystar once the deal is killed.
He still hasn’t learned the lesson that Tom tried to tell him. Logan never ever ends up on the losing side of business.

Her condescending comment about Roman doing the management training course when he was trying to actually learn and earn a spot was the most self unaware prick comment from her which is saying a lot

You could also interpret it as Mattson’s call was him showing how good a deal it is for him. His threat is just trying to protect his great deal and Ken now thinks they can squeeze him for more.

Yep.
He sees the train wreck that is upcoming. He knows that the best thing for the kids is just to take their money and ride into the sunset but they are so obsessed with beating him they can’t see straight.
The problem is he can’t convey it in a way that comes to them as caring and it’s so far gone at this point that even if he could it wouldn’t matter

They're looking at taking home $2-3B each for doing nothing. And they're quibbling over another $100M each at most.
Entitlement at its finest for that sack of losers.

The guy just wanted to do some karaoke with his siblings and marry his escort fiancé. And they couldn’t even give him that.
In all seriousness, when he gave his speech about being used to not being loved and that it was ok, that was unexpectedly heavy from him. And does make you feel bad for him.
I know we all love to see Logan go ruthless but he created the monsters he’s dealing with as kids. And he still does shite to needle them and thinking it’s going to make them better people or teach them a lesson when it’s just making them more bitter.
