Yeah Stringer fancied himself a genius, which is why he appeals to the Michael Corleone fanboys.

Stringer needed Avon though, he wasnt hard enough. And when he tried to be hard (offing Omar on church day) he fricked things up.

What Avon said to Stringer about being a man without a country, was 100% accurate. Not hard enough for the drug game. Not smart enough for the "bidness man" game.

Actually...I think Stringer was smart enough to eventually be a successful entrepreneur outside the drug game, but the Stringer that we saw didn't yet have the skills or the savvy to do so. Had he lived 5 more years, I think he would have been running shite.

But none of that is really a "mistake" made by Stringer. His only real mistake was the Brother Mouzzone thing. That was obviously a terrible move.

This shoukd be it's own thread..

Reminds me of when omar was in court testifying and he called Omar a parasite of the system, and omar said,"just like you.. I gots the shotgun and you got the briefcase"

Biggest POS is obviously Clay Davis, but he's a charismatic/likeable POS.

The Jew Lawyer vultures off the drug game, but what he's doing is legal. Clay Davis just steals from people and lies to their faces.

Btw, I LOVE Clay Davis. He might be my favorite character on the show.

the only person who had that incentive was prop joe, and he's the one who built the co-op

What the hell are you talking about? With both the above and your previous posts about Avon's errors.

There was this little character called Marlo Stanfield who was both ruthless and ambitious. Do you recall this character named Marlo Stanfield? What was going to stop Marlo from wiping out the competition other than strength?

for all the talk about bell's frickups, can we talk about avon's?

he completely fricked up the marlow hunt, almost dying in the process. marlow was a better gangsta than avon, just like clay davis was a better political greaseball than stringer bell

Stringer let Marlo acquire power. The fact that Avon was no longer equipped with the manpower to deal with Marlo was because Stringer didn't deal with Marlo earlier.

If Avon had been around when Marlo was coming up, Marlo never would have been Marlo.
