Who would have ever thought the Fast and Furious franchise would reach 7 movies before Star Wars.

I think it is worth noting abrams did the star trek the studios told him to do

he doesn't like star trek, he loves star wars, and every indication is that Disney has read the nerd message boards, seen the plinkett review and they're emphasizing story, practical effects and making this movie with utter disdain for the prequels

oh, George these episode 7 ideas are GREAT, we're just going to put them right here in this drawer and we'll see you at the theater.

Why? There will be plenty of adults seeing it.

I felt like we were going to get another trailer this spring. This may have been common knowledge to everyone else but I'm being very careful to not do much Ep 7 googling for fear of spoilers.

Hey now. George made some perfectly good movies before he got old and had his mind softened by wine country.

I'm officially on radio silence on anything about this movie. I want little to no expectations.

Made, yeah

Directed? Graffiti and the original Star Wars (saved in editing)

Even Kurtz did an interview where he flat out says kershber did a 100x better job with the direction

They make fun of George as a director in empire of dreams.

Kurtz

Is this guy your boyfriend or something? You're obsessed with him.

His filmography is not very impressive, so apparently, he needed Lucas more than Lucas needed him, all self-serving, egotistical comments notwithstanding.

Well it's pretty clear he co created Star Wars. He was there from the beginning

Dark crystal and return to oz are awesome

Anyway, I think they both needed each other, Kershner (a director who wasn't lucas or wasn't his puppet) was really the key to making empire

dont get me wrong, I love lucas. If he still had anyone around to challenge him, he'd still make awesome movies. I see a lot of good ideas with phantom menace, crystal skull and red tails. It's just that coffee wasn't put through a filter. Whether you like it or not Kurtz imus the missing ingredient from jedi and phantom menace, the other two in convinced George said "frick it"

Abrams has collaborated with a lot of people (including Matt reeves) I'm excited to see what a competent director who loves Star Wars can do with it

He also gets a lot of respect with Star Wars needs because he never sold out, he left before he would make a toy movie and he didn't bash but gave his honest criticism of the prequels.

**possible trailer spoilers ?? **

I saw this as leaked info about the first full length trailer. No idea if its true or not but I hope so:

The run time is just under 2 minutes, about 1:50 seconds.
Han Solo, Princess Leia, R2-D2 and C-3PO are all in there.

The planet of Yavin appears.
Finn (John Boyega) with a blue lightsaber.
A brief shot of the chrome Stormtrooper, possibly named Captain Phasma, played by Gwendoline Christie.
Kylo Ren’s face is revealed.
Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) shoot down a TIE fighter.
Finn and Poe walking past a TIE Fighter.
Multiple shots of Rey (Daisy Ridley).
A shot of Poe Dameron, R2-D2, C-3PO, and a CGI character that may be “Rose” played by Lupita Nyong’o
BB-8 in the back of an X-Wing.
Kylo Ren’s Imperial Shuttle flies with TIE Fighters to a Star Destroyer.
More Star Destroyers.
The Millennium Falcon.
X-wing Fighters in a V formation.
Darth Vader’s helmet sitting on a podium.
No Andy Serkis.
No Luke Skywalker.

That being said, other than trailers I'm staying totally unspoiled for this film.. cant wait !!

Producing Jim Henson is maybe the easiest job in the world. Return to Oz was painfully stupid.

Jedi was a great movie. As someone who saw them all when they were released, I can tell you that audiences liked it much better than Empire, which was considered pretty cheesy, but still okay.

Well, thankfully, the bar isn't very high, but his mutilation of Star Trek and shoehorned inclusion of multiple original cast members makes me believe his thinking is very cliche.
