Currently working or no longer working?

I mean it's Lynch for me. As for as more mainstream, I really like Paul Thomas Anderson.

He's missed on the last two in my opinion. The Dark Knight Rises is without a doubt the weakest film in the trilogy. Interstellar just didn't do it for me.

No bad choices at all. Though, I would say that I'm not the biggest PTA fan. Then again, I haven't seen all of his movies. I'm probably a little more mainstream than you, but I'd have to say probably David Fincher and Danny Boyle are the first two that come to mind.

I'd also add Scorsese to the list. I can't think of any movie he's directed that I didn't like.
