I'm sure this spot has been posted before but I have a question about Hawkeye's line so here is a link to it:

Avenges Age of Ultron TV spot #4

(On the very slim chance my speculation is right it involves some 40+ year old comic book SPOILERS so don't read further if that kind of stuff upsets you).

.
.
.

The line that caught my attention is Hawkeye's line that goes something like "We're fighting an army of robots and I have a bow and arrow".

Makes me wonder - in the comics when he felt he was underpowered to aid the team against tough foes/circumstances (it was the first Kree/Skrull war I think) he borrowed some Pym Particles and became Goliath for a bit.

I wonder if there's chance we'll see him go that route here?

There's no Pym, so Stark Particles? That's just dumb

I doubt it. If anything, they will set up a movie based upon the Matt Fraction comic series on Hawkeye. It allows them to use Jeremy Renner to a fuller capacity, it gets Black Widow involved, and it could be done for a low budget. A small near-indie comedy on Hawkguy could be pretty great, and really dive in to the whole "if you're going to kill an Avenger, you kill the regular guy" thing.

I know he's supposed to be in Civil War, but his time as an Avenger should be limited.

Get rid of Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and quicksilver.

Replace them with Black Panther, Dr. Strange and Spider-Man = profit

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver aren't going anywhere.

Cap and IM are on the way out.

Sadly I don't think we will ever see a Hawkguy movie. Maybe, maybe a Netflix series.

For the Rest of you in this thread, (Fraction's)Hawkeye is the fricking best.

i don't understand how you can say get rid of QS and SW - they havent even been in the movie yet.

as for hawkeye - i liked the character in Avengers, and i like Renner's redition of him.

i would watch a netflix series about him.

It's funny how in the comics he's way up there on most lists of people's favorite Avengers. (Although he has never really carried his own book long term). But in the movies a lot of people don't care for him. I don't know if it's Renner's take on the roll or just that he hasn't been featured and fleshed out. Probably the latter. Also in the comics he's always more than carried his weight against even the big time threats with just his skills and his bow and arrow (and sometimes growing powers )

Since I still long to see a Cap's Kooky Quartet take and that would knock out three of them I'd have to disagree.
