Reservoir Dogs ruined Stuck in the Middle with You by Stealers Wheel for me.

I can't hear Atlantis without thinking of Joe Pesci stomping Billy Bats in Goodfellas.

Bohemian Rhapsody - Wayne's World car ride.

Definitely. I would also add "Foxy Lady" to the list from Wayne's World.

I'm the same way with Layla and the death montage.

Clockwork Orange ruined Singing in the Rain for me.

Eta: Add Slow Ride and Dazed and Confused too.

Stroke 9 - Kick Some arse

Always think of Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back when they're running around beating the crap out of message board trolls.

There...now that I got your German-ness out of the way, I'll do a few. When I hear these songs, I always think of these movies/scenes:

Tuesday's Gone - Happy Gilmore

Bittersweet Symphony - Cruel Intentions

Sister Christian - Boogie Nights

Jane - Wet Hot American Summer

Afternoon Delight - Anchorman

Bohemian Rhapsody - Wayne's World

This one is obvious, since it's a theme, but I wanted to post it (again, if it's been posted already) because it's just so awesome: Tom Gun Anthem.

When I hear "Higher and Higher" I imagine a giant Statue of Liberty walking around town.

Little Green Bag - Epic scene of the dogs walking after the diner scene. This song popped up on a commercial recently I think, and that's all I think about.

Lunatic Fringe - Vision Quest scene when he beats Kooch at the end.

Doesn't that song play during the training montage (heck, maybe it plays in both places)?

Regardless, I agree with you about associating the song with the movie (and the movie with the song, for that matter) - ditto for "Crazy for You" - by Madonna for the same film.

In fact, Vision Quest has a hell of an official soundtrack, albeit eclectic.

"Only the Young" Journey

"Change" John Waite

"Shout to the Top!" The Style Council

"Gambler" Madonna

"She's On the Zoom" Don Henley

"Hungry for Heaven" Dio

"Lunatic Fringe" Red Rider

"I'll Fall in Love Again" Sammy Hagar

"Hot Blooded" Foreigner

"Crazy for You" Madonna
