Anyone on the board seen this?
It is an awesome documentary put together from the point of view of Tom Grant, the PI hired by Courtney Love in the days preceeding Kurt Cobain's death. Compelling evidence is brought forth by Grant that Love was acting QUITE suspiciously and Kurt's "Suicide" may have been nothing of the sort. Great watch!

It portrays Courtney Love as a lying, money-grubbing whore drug addict.
So it was an easy movie to make.
She goes from a pending divorce, no alimony and a pre-nup of $100,000 settlement...
To the sole lottery winner of $450 million.
Wow, did she get lucky that Cobain just happened to die two weeks before changing and cutting her out of his will.

Absolutely. And, they really didn't touch to much on this, but the whole relationship with "Cali" was just so odd. I mean a former boyfriend whose a live in nanny. So many crazy things going on with Kurt and Courtney.

The Doc on HBO is 100x better. I hate Courtney and truly think she had something to do with the death of Cobain but that is low hanging fruit. At least the HBO one was a celebration of Kurt.

I definitely want to see Montage of Heck. I haven't done so yet, but it is on my "to see" list. You're the next person in a long line of folks how have seen it and recommend it.

I enjoyed soaked in bleach as well, montage was just amazing.

Its on my list. Sounds like it covers a lot of the same ground as Kurt and Courtney, which is worth watching if you're interested in this subject.
I read about this guy's work years ago. He makes a good case. Its certainly one of the more believable conspiracy theories out there.

Didn't like Montage of heck. Poorly done hipster crap. This one was a better documentary bit the premise is not that believable

The premise is pretty much directly from Grant's notes and interactions. What part didn't you find believable?

Great Doc! frick Courtney love.

Just finished it. Holy shite! I'm not one about conspiracy theories too much, but this is a compelling one to say the least. I'm convinced she had him murdered.

Just saw it yesterday.
Can't believe what I saw. Pretty moving stuff imo.

I just watched it a few days ago, too. I always heard the rumor that Courtney killed Kurt but didn't know where it came from. I assumed it was just urban legend kind of stuff. After watching this I can see there may be something to it.
It's a shame the police were so bad. If Courtney was involved I know she was too stupid and strung out to hold up to questioning.

It was almost as if they didn't want to involve themselves in the matter. Nothing about the physical evidence at the scene or the toxicology report supports suicide.
Excellent documentary on the subject of Kurt Cobain's death.

Without having the permissions to use Nirvana's songs the documentary misses out on connecting to the soul. It felt an arm's length away through most of it.

If nothing else, she heavily encouraged him. She was involved somehow. Pulling the trigger I don't not the only thing that would make her guilty.
Only other thing to add is that I used to have an Xbox live account named iShottiedCobain.

I watched it. The biggest thing that I got from that is how the frick does a P.I miss the garage on that property? I don't buy the it was too dark to see it excuse.
Doesn't speak much of his abilities as a P.I

I bet the Seattle Police Dept loved it. My god, I don't think they tried to cover it up I think they were just so inept and just didn't give a shite to the point it makes them look dirty. Best line in the film "If you want to get away with murder, Kill a Junkie".

I did as well - the movie, overall, is pretty cheesy - almost done in a "First 48" style. However, Grant comes across as extremely credible and the dramatization actors gave it the old college try. I also liked some of the interviews with Kurt's friends and the explanation that he was shy and quiet, but not depressed (which I never bought the whole depressed rock star retconning by Courtney after the fact).
The big takeaway from the film is the recorded phone calls - the ones from Courtney are chilling at times, but the ones from their entertainment lawyer (and Frances Bean's Godmother) make it clear that she thinks Courtney had something to do with Kurt's death.
I was actually on the fence before watching it - with regards to Courtney actively having him killed. But, now I believe there is at least a reasonable preponderance of evidence against Courtney. And the Seattle PD didn't do as good a job of investigating the death as Barney Fife would have.

Pretty good documentary. Obviously very slanted, but they did have a lot of great points.
The strongest one to me was the fact that a patrol cop made the initial suicide diagnosis and that it was ruled a suicide the exact same day the body was found. That never happens. I don't think the police dept. could handle the media that would have came along with an investigation and took the easy way out.
