Pump the brakes. I didn't mind MoS. I enjoyed the director's cut of BvS. SS sucked arse, but I am looking forward to seeing WW and JL. Just making an observation that they try to do so much, where it may serve them better to go small then big.

and I realize MCU has similar issues but still....if Flash is apparently fighting crime as this movie showed as is Batman, wouldn't you figure they'd probably be helping out?

the post credit scene was also pretty pointless, perhaps you should have been recruiting those guys instead of a team of villains idiot.

Comic book and comic book film trope. Superheroes appear as they are needed for the story. Iron Man was active when Thor and Hulk were tearing up their respective first films, but he didn't appear until a post-credits scene.

I get it.....but still if Waller purely wants meta humans, then why wouldn't she assemble a team of non criminals? It just kind of undermined the whole point of the movie

She is the real villain of the movie. More Lex Luther than the BvS character.

her killing the agents was just dumb, went from being a person that operates in the grey but ends justify the means to just a shitty person...Flagg being cool with it was also off putting

not sure what can be done with this joker going forward, he's nothing but a glorified gang banger that can be dispatched pretty easy.

Not in character at all. But by that point in the movie I had stopped counting the WTFs.

The movie was a mess. Don't expect improvement.

It was complete garbage. I happened to catch it on HBO last night and thought at the beginning that there was no way it could be as bad as the reviews. It was worse than the reviews. At some points, I forgot I was watching a DC movie and through I was watching a Power Rangers movie.

She can threaten, control (and kill off) super-villains. She'd have zero control over superheroes.

Caught this in a few sittings last week:

1) So you assemble a team of "meta humans" in case another Superman arrives but end up only having to use them because you mishandled one of the meta humans you assembled in the first place. Good work.

2) These meta humans. Diablo showed he's a badass at the end when unleashed. Croc has super human strength. And then you have a marksman, an Australian guy with boomerangs and an acrobatic female with a bat.

My problem here is we see Enchantress and her brother (did he have a name by the way?) taking down AN ARMY early in the movie. So Deadshot, Boomerang and HQ would seem to be basically completely outmatched and useless here unless the villains to decide to not use their full powers in the end like they did. I mean you were taking down helicopters in the beginning and then punching Captain Boomerang across a room in the end. Doesn't add up

3) It's a trope that they don't show up unless the story calls for it but why even show The Flash catching Boomerang. Call him and use him if you know he exists.

4) The character introductions: they flashed a screen with their real names and powers but for about 1 second each. Had to rewind and pause to read the full screen each time. Wasn't the only one here as other people told me the same. Amazing you can frick something this simple up

5) The Joker. Look I know it was going to be hard to be the first Joker to follow Ledger on the big screen but this was just bad. The gold teeth and look I wasn't a fan of but can someone with more knowledge help me here - I always thought to the Joker to be a complete sociopath/amoral who was completely devoid of feelings? I get having HQ being obsessed with him and does his bidding, but would he really be in love with her the way they showed it? With that it just kind of makes him a gangster to me

Rewatched.

It is a mess, but as is usually the case with DC, there's a good movie concept trapped inside.

I agree. They shouldn't have used the plot to Age of Ultron.

AoU had its problems (my main issue with it was I never felt "the power" or grave danger he posed. A lot of movies fail at this - I think days of future past was most successful with the sentinels with it) sure but I don't want to derail this thread with that. That's a separate topic

Agreed. I only watched it on HBO for a lazy Sunday and wasn't disappointed.

That being said, I was going in expecting a terrible movie, and already accepting all the flaws that have been discussed.

" Would you... LIVE... for me??" God that was a laughable scene, no wonder they cut most of Letos' performance out. it was terrible.

Funny how the shittiest super hero genre movie is the only super hero genre to win an academy award!?!?
