I would consider halving if I did walk away with it all.

Unless the person was annoying the whole show.

The other night was a gay guy and this chick and the chick told the gay guy she just wanted her prizes and whatever money she won she'd donate to this anti bullying charity he was crying about. He started crying even more and chose to split, she chose to take it all.

Rounds 1–3

Five contestants are chosen randomly at the start of the game. Five prizes are hidden inside boxes on the Dream Screen, each with a value between $5,000 and $12,000. The first contestant chooses a box and the contents are revealed. The next contestant can choose an unopened box or steal the first contestant's prize. A contestant whose item is stolen must then choose an unopened box or steal from another contestant; however, contestants cannot steal back their own item immediately.

Prior to having their item stolen, a contestant can block another contestant from stealing it. Each contestant can only block their item from being stolen once during the game. Once the contestant chooses to block their item from being stolen, it cannot be stolen by any contestant during the round.

The contestant with the lowest-value prize is eliminated at the end of the round. The process is repeated with the remaining four contestants in round two, which features prizes valued from $15,000 to $25,000. The contestant who finished with the most-valuable prize in the previous round begins round two. Again, the contestant with the lowest-valued prize is eliminated, and the remaining three contestants compete for prizes valued from $30,000 to $100,000 in round three. The final two contestants after round three advance to the Prize Fight.

Prize Fight

The final two contestants each select a random card from a deck of ten containing values ranging from $25,000 to $250,000. The values chosen are not revealed to either contestant upon selection. The two remaining contestants then separately and secretly decide to "keep mine" or "take it all", similar in format to the prisoner's dilemma. If both contestants choose "keep mine", each leaves the game with the prizes already accumulated earlier in the game, along with the cash value selected at the start of the Prize Fight. If one contestant chooses "keep mine" and the other chooses "take it all", the contestant who chose "take it all" collects not only their prizes and cash award, but also the other contestant's prizes and cash award, and the contestant who chose "keep mine" leaves empty-handed. However, if both players choose "take it all", both players forfeit all prizes accumulated during the game as well as the cash awards, and both leave empty-handed.

To Sum It Up

The grand finale of the game comes down to one fact: Can one contestant out manipulate and out lie the other contestant. There is a 25% chance that both contestants will go home with a significant sum of money. It they both work together. However there is a 75% chance that greed will rule and that one or both contestants will leave with nothing.

It has nothing to do with my screen name and it's probably racist, but I'm from the generation that calls them Chinese Christmas parties.

Can just hear somebody pitching this to the suits. "Haven't you ever been to Chinese Christmas Party?"
Followed by blank stares from guys that have never been to a Christmas party that didn't help them advance their careers and certainly not one they enjoyed.

In the 80's when I did them we had a $5.00 limit. One year I got to choose last and got a Bonsai tree. Someone brought a framed, "Hauling arse" poster that had three bikini clad shorties in the back of a pick up. A girl ended up taking it home.

After seeing the greed from a lady last week that kept it all after indicating she would give to the other guy's charity to help bullied kids, I'm already done with this show. It pissed me off so much I'm not watching anymore.

The best strategy is to basically tell your opponent you're selecting "take it all" no matter what and you'll share the prize with them if they select "split", otherwise you both go home with nothing. It basically forces the other person's decision.

the only thing with that is, the other person may decide they'd rather you go home with nothing over you getting it all and going back on your word. the whole "if i'm going down, i'm taking you with me"

Correct. And that's why I will refuse to watch. Too many greedy people out there.

The OT is such a slim hole.. Howie Mandel is one of the few people in Hollywood who actually has an intimate relationship with his wife and mom of his 3 kids.. and he's instantly throw into the "he's a homo" bin on the OT.

I was merely linking the thread simply for the better pics of said contestant.

I didn't have any part in that part of the convo, but I do question how a germophobe such as Howie can actually tolerate having sex? Think they turkey basted?
