I never get why this argument or premise is so loved by comic dudes. In reality it'd be the worst battle ever.

As soon as Batman gets kryptonite the fight is over. So if he gets it first he wins, if not Superman pounds him into oblivion. It's basically the Amazing Race and the prize is some rocks that turn Supeman into a weakling.

No clue how you make a movie out of this, but the trailer looked like a whole bunch of action so I'm in.

Anyone versus Superman can win. If they have Kryptonite.

Because it's the man who can never lose versus the man who will never quit.

Imagine a kid against Rhonda Rousey. Now Rhonda could beat the shite out of the kid, but she doesn't want too, she knows she would kill the kid if she attacked like her normal opponents. The kid won't tire out, he will just keep coming. Attacking her knees and using her weakness against her. Rhonda can't beat the kid, because she doesn't want to hurt the kid, the kid wants to beat Rhonda and would use tricks and weapons to do so.

If it makes no sense, I thought of this with Mike Tyson and then said "No Mike would kill a kid" and changed it, now F it. The point is, it's easy to beat someone who doesn't want to beat you.

Its pretty clear that if superman wanted to kill batman he could. he is basically invincible minus kyrptonite. But supes can always best luthor when he was kryptonite and lex is the smartest man on the planet.

batman is smart. And they have different philsophies, and styles. So it makes a nice contrast. Batman basically has the same worries as lex does about superman (he could destroy civilization), but good vs good is more interesting that good vs. bad.

Ftr, the movie is going to suck.

And like the fight between Batman and Cap, Batman knows that Superman can kill him at any time, but won't. He knows that as long as he's not endangering others, he can keep coming up with ways to attack Superman and the response will be mostly defensive.

Batman once almost killed superman when he had a gun that shot kryptonite bullets.

One would have to completely suspend disbelief to go along with the idea of Batman obtaining Kryptonite bullets.

Pre-Obama it was pretty easy to get Kryptonite bullets.

How much Kryptonite is there, anyways? Is it just about everyone on earth? And, if so, how does Supes avoid it?

It's common enough for a fairly wealthy criminal to get his hands on it, but not so common that Superman would accidentally come across it on a regular basis.

It's usually written that he feels the effects in enough to time to leave the area before he succumbs.

In '71 they did away with all Kryptonite on Earth, but new meteors continued to fall and eventually it was just as common as it was pre-'71.

With every reboot it starts out as being extremely rare, then it's used more and more until it's back to being uncommon but obtainable.
