So I just started watching Lost...

Currently in season two. I must say I am enjoying it so far. Weird as shite. But some of my buddies told me that the ending ruined the whole show and that a lot of people felt jipped. So am i wasting my time or is it worth it to continue?

It's hard to say how you will feel. Very polarizing ending. I personally enjoyed it and felt satisfaction. It's not all about the ending. It's the ride.

FWIW I loved the ending and thought it was amazing. Many here do and many here don't. Make up your own mind and don't let the sheep suck you into either flock.

I personally hate the ending/ how the show goes about ending. But people I respect a lot think it's brilliant. There's really no way to know how you will like it. I will say that I think bingewatchers like the ending more in my experience. I attribute that to not having as much time to let their imagine run wild. With a week in between each episode, you find yourself more than a little pissed off when the show drops a subplot.

I got sick of Lost, too many terrible decisions and unecesary risks on that show. I need to go finish it eventually

The final episode is my favorite of all of them, so no. A lot of people think the ending is something else entirely to where they can not be trusted.

It's very polarizing for sure. I can tell you that I absolutely loved the ending, and Lost is one of my favorite shows of all time.
So I'd say the show itself is good enough for you to watch all the way through and make your own decision...and even if you don't like it, you'll still have enjoyed the ride. It's a great show, and marathoning it can be helpful (though watching it live week to week is one of the most fun experiences I've ever had with TV).

Certainly. I can absolutely see how some people might not like the ending. I mean, I'm sure with every television show that's ever aired, there are factions of people who liked the last episode and some that didn't.
My whole point is...I don't even see how it's actually possible to enjoy/like a show for 6 seasons then say all that was "ruined" by the last 60 minutes. The show is about connecting wiht the characters, seeing them evolve/interact, and obviously it's a hell of a story as well. I just can't comprehend how someone can be all in for the whole story then do a 180 on it all just due to 1 episode.
