I haven't been a fan of many recent comedies but I laughed several times during Ted. Nice to a see a comedy that relies on jokes instead of retreads playing the same characters they've played in other movies.

Wasn't a timeless classic, but it was worth the watch. Probably have to be a certain age to appreciate some of it and be able to laugh at yourself when you were a kid. Seeing the Flash Gordon actor show them how to party was prettying badass.

I really liked TED...thought it was pretty funny.

Also, it's nothing like Family Guy. So if you went in expecting the same kind of thing, of course you'll be disappointed. Just because it's made by the same guy doesn't mean it's gonna be the same thing.

The humor was essentially the exact same as Family Guy, only raunchier.

that has absolutely nothing to do with whether it's funny or not. I'm sure the people behind date movie/epic movie/horror movie/disaster movie/etc have more money than I ever will but that doesn't mean they're good at their job.

I hated it. I don't know why people think its aimed at older generation either. I found the jokes to be immature and forced. I could walk around a high school and hear the same stuff

half the characters are in it. peter talked the entire time. hell even stewie made an appearance at the aquarium when he was telling ted he had to move out.

they even used the same music.

and for all the people saying you have to be old enough, im 31. i love this type of humor. i just had high hopes for this one i guess. i got the references i just didn't laugh like i thought i would. i can only remember twice ever wanting to turn off a movie in the middle of it before this but i refused in hopes it would get better.

at least it was free.

I disagree (but agree that it was much raunchier than FG).

I'm 30 min in and it's just the worst. I'm a huge family guy fan but this movie is a dumpster fire.

I agree. And someone told me it was great. I hated it.

i tend to enjoy comedies more in the theatres when everyone is laughing (i guess kind of a stand up comic effect or maybe i'm jjust weak minded you assholes!).

so i saw this in theatres and we enjoyed it for what it was.

I thought it was a letdown. It just wasn't all that great.

It has funny moments but for the most part I didn't enjoy it.

I didn't find the trailer funny and never had any urge to watch it.

That was a comment on the movie "failing miserably" not about how funny it was

It wasn't nearly as funny as I hoped it would have been.

I thought it was pretty comical, but then again I wasn't expecting an oscar performance. Don't think into it so much.

Watched it with my in-laws.

I watched it with my parents on Christmas Eve. They are pretty liberal and can get in to some raunchy/stoner type comedy movies. We all thought it was terrible and turned it off after 20 or 30 minutes. Waste of $3.99

It was a critical success, as well. Not just at the box office.

It was so, so far from an "epic failure."
