Carvey's Bush and Hammond's Clinton were fricking gold. Ferrell's Bush was also fantastic, but more over the top and far more a swipe at the man's intellect than either of the other two, which I think is pretty genius on Carvey and Hammond's part. No alienation of the audience. Everyone can laugh at the quirks without laughing at the barb. Hammond's Gore was also nails.

Baldwin’s Trump isn’t funny to me because it’s too exaggerated and forced.
I thought the first debate coverage was hilarious, but I think my issue with Baldwin is the over-exposure and the same stuff over and over again. Has nothing to do with "being a snowflake" like Hillary's fan club in here would have you believe.

I didn't think Chevy Chase's Gerald Ford was funny, either.

Phil Hartman was a better Clinton than Darrell Hammond.
“Son, there are a LOT of things we won’t tell Mrs Clinton about. Fast food is the least of them.”

Actually, I never really found Chevy Chase to be funny at all. He always came across to me as a bit of a douche.

I liked Taram Killem as Trump better than Alec Baldwin.

So does SNL - he's banned from hosting there after being a crappy person.
Nearly every horror story about backstage during Community involves him.
You're not alone thinking he's a douche

Phil Hartman was outstanding as Trump. I think the writing was much better too.
Trump Divorcing Ivanka
Trump & Marla Maples On Church Chat
Also, Jon Lovitz was wonderful as Michael Dukakis:
Kevin Nealon as Joe Biden:
Heavyweight lineup of Al Franken as Paul Simon, Chris Farley as Howell Heflin, Phil Hartman as Ted Kennedy, Kevin Nealon as Joe Biden, Dana Carvey as Strom Thurmond.

Yes, he portrayed him back in the 80s to 1990.
Phil Hartman was an amazing performer. The nuance in his Trump impersonation is so much better than Baldwin.
Baldwin:
Plus, again, the writing seems much better in the older portrayals. There is more development and complexity while today the focus seems to be on a base level of shallow humor.

That article is pretty exhaustive on Chevy and why people don’t like him.
I was familiar with a lot of the SNL stuff plus the Kevin Smith and Dan Harmon stuff but not all of it.
Most of his costars from various movies such as Vacation have little good to say about him either, such as Beverly D’Angelo.
The write ups about his roast, which was notoriously brutal, say that he seemed to be the only person who didn’t see it coming. Apparently he had no awareness of how people see him.

Baldwin’s trump is perfect to a fault, it nails him too good that it’s not very funny. Trump is already a cartoonish person so it’s tough to go much further with it. Sad.
I liked will Farrell’s George w the best.
Not a president but Dana carveys Ross Perot ? Was great as well.

Bush 41 and Clinton are probably the best.
I really miss Phil Hartman.
