The tech in the episode was awful

FTP and not SFTP?
Transferring source material for a test and not copies?
Why would the porn company open an FTP into their own servers too? Doesn't make sense.

Looks like the writers took a terrible logic jump to push the story

The pedo jokes were great and Jin Yang stole the episode

It is a TV show. Not real life.

Probably my least favorite episode so far. They can't all be awesome I guess, but they need a win. It's getting a little tiring watching these geniuses fail over and over and some of it is so far of a reach. Like 9,000 hours of footage isn't backed up anywhere? Like hitting a fricking delete button on one laptop comtrols the who,e system?

I get this but if you're really familiar with what the show is supposed to be about and the show is awful about the details then its hard to watch.

I couldn't get past season 1 of House of Cards because Spacey's SC accent was turrible, they called the Citadel the Sentinel, and he was a Democrat from the "upcountry" of SC. The Upstate of SC is as Republican as it gets.

I don't know shite about tech so the details of the show don't detract from my entertainment but I definitely empathize with those it does.

I agree, but there is way too much talent for that ever to be the case.

This is my favorite show on television, but I cannot believe once again they have something stupid beating down Pied Piper. I am gonna sleep on this episode and re watch tomorrow but right now it may have been my least favorite. It's just time for Pied Piper to have something go their way.

yup

And it was mega stupid.

Wasn't my favorite episode by any means but I still enjoyed in, especially Russ.

I laughed pretty hard when he puts the tequila back on the delete button. Also when he went around the room after Richard exploded on him and still gave Jared a soft "he fricks"

that seems to be the "solution" to the lawsuit. it's why i'm not even really worried about it (and it seems Hooli won't buy them for this reason)

Funny episode but its getting tiresome watching the win-fail-win-fail rollercoaster

I agree, although I'm sure they will have a "win" in the season finale like last season to set up next season

and I hated the "delete" scene

it would have been better if they guy would have actually hacked them

having Russ set his shitty tequila bottle on the delete button and ruin everything, while funny, was a bit of a stretch

at the least, it likely will be good for the overall narrative. not getting the $15M deal means they don't win and the series isn't over. russ/richard were having a power struggle, and russ has to lick his wounds after losing and now fund PP. this keeps PP alive, but poor, and keeps russ around (which i like)

like i said earlier, this is a 2-3 season show. they're doing everything they can to make it 3 seasons and silliness like last night is required

This was a tiresome episode. Richard was entirely frustrating, and I get that everything that can go wrong does go wrong for them but for fricks sake it has gotten insane.

The condor egg cam was still running on Richards monitor

Looks like next week they enter binding arbitration with Hooli after Bag Head shows Richard the Hooli Phone with the Nucleus beta and they all realize Hooli is screwed

Final episode I predict something big happens with the condor egg, it becomes a big story and pied piper gets huge exposure from streaming the condor egg cam

Then the guys get the big win and next season have to handle success

This, big time. When Richard was talking to Seth Lee I was like "Well, there's the weekly threat for this episode." So at the end, when they were getting "hacked," I groaned a little bit. But when it turned out to be simply pressing delete on one of the laptops, I was borderline mad.

I'm no techie at all, but deleting that much shite solely from hitting the delete key on a single computer seems like such a fricking jump in logic. It was sort of funny, I guess, but not worth the payoff really.

Also, I can't stand Russ. Sometimes he's entertaining, but overall I just don't like him...I think I may just not like the actor though, because I'm not a huge fan of him from About a Boy either.

Jin Yang was decent, but he's much funnier when he's less important to the episode. And Jared being almost nonexistant made the show suffer IMO. shite, seems like even Erlich didn't have many lines this episode, nor did Gilfoyle and Dinesh. Where did the 28 minutes go?

This sums up my feelings on this episode:
quote:

This was an incredibly frustrating episode and not in a good way

All that being said though, it's still one of the funniest shows going right now, so I expect them to bounce back with a solid effort next week.

The Entourage model.... I hate it. It needs to be a struggle, but it doesn't have to be so much of a roller coaster.

A bunch of nerds watch this show and they want to see the nerds win. I don't understand why you keep making stupid shite knock them down.

I was furious. I hate Russ so much. I understand this show is based off of over-exaggerated characters, but he is so over the top that I find myself frustrated everytime he comes on screen.

There was so much wrong with how this whole thing went down... I mean think about it, they would have had to have copies because both companies were crunching the same data at the same time.....

They replaced Jared's type of time with Jin Yang and that just isn't a good decision on a 30 min episode show. They've developed Jared, a character that anyone who studied business in school can relate to and loves with a asian who can't speak english. Jin was funny but I agree he only needs a line or two, not half the episode.
