Holy shite, I wish it didn't take me so long to get started on this. Didn't realize Mike Judge was at the helm. I never would've given it a chance had a buddy not made me watch the pilot. Gilfoyle ftmfw

i just finished the episode with the Homicide Live Stream. The Let Blaine Die SWOT Matrix is probably the hardest I've laughed so far, but Gavin's freakouts over the UFC and the holo-communicator thing (audio worked 100 fricking years ago) are pretty up there as well. The show is really well done, the humor isn't forced and lame (i thought it would be all nerd humor like Big Bang Theory), and it gives a pretty insightful look into the tech startup world.

10/10 so far, watch it if you haven't. My only fear is that the plotlines keep repeating themselves down the road

It has been a common concern, but we haven't gotten there yet. Third season was just as great generally. It looks like they are going to continue switching it up in a new direction with how it ended, so I guess we'll see.

I was late to the party, too. I binged every episode a few weeks ago and love it.

The plot is a little rinse & repeat with the "losing company/fall back-asswards into another money truck" thing but it's so well-cast & written I have faith they'll keep it fresh.

Currently binge watching it, just finished season 2. The characters are so ridiculous while also being realistic, I love it.

I actually like the fact that they don't leave the problems unresolved for very long. It makes for easier, more enjoyable watching in my opinion. After all, it is a comedy.

Yet finished it. Can't wait til the next season.

I just started a coding job and I really didn't know how big of a deal tabs vs spaces were until I got my new role. Then I watched it come up in this show. Freaking hilarious.

They really need to change things up next season. It's on the verge of becoming too repetitive/stale.

Eric Bachman, this is you as a old man. I'm ugly. And I'm dead. Alone.

No need to peak in a Silicon Valley thread to have seen countless people recommend it in the "recommend me a show" threads

you're in a fantasy league where the champ picked this show for team names. That should have told you right there

Well, then forgive me for assuming too much

However, it's hard not to notice the love on this board for a number of shows, especially HBO ones

I absolutely love this show. Really, the only problem I have with it is that the recurring theme of every episode is "do something good, proceed to shoot self in foot." It's really not that big of a deal though because it's still hilarious. As long as I'm laughing, it's all gravy. The SWOT matrix is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

For an interesting story, Judge said in an interview that they originally had Hooli's offer in the first season at $100 million and they lowered it to $10 million because they didn't want the amount to be too much and people to think it was ridiculous. Fast forward to the middle of season 1, Snapchat (in real life, obviously) turned down an offer for $2 billion. He was like "frick, I was worried about $100 million being too high and Snapchat just turned down $2 fricking billion."
