Just finished the first episode of this Netflix original Sense8. I am confused as hell, but intrigued.
Is this show any good? Should I continue watching?
What the hell is going on anyway?

I asked earlier today about it. I haven't watched an episode yet, but was thinking about starting it tonight. Does it have potential?

I read a review that at least the first few episodes are pretty confusing. The writer of the review thought they could tie it all up by the end, but he hadn't got past the first couple of episodes.

I'm on episode 3 and it's still hard to follow. It jumps around a lot. I'm trying to stick with it though..

I just started episode 2. Obviously all of these people are psychically linked. And their psychic abilities were "birthed" by the lady that shot herself in the opening scene.

I'm guessing that the group that was trying to get the lady who shot herself will start to go after the rest of these people.

But yeah, it's kind of hard to keep up with what all of these people are doing since it keeps jumping around to 6 to 9 people.

Just got through with the second episode, and it looks like I was right on both accounts.

I'm on episode 4 now and I'm really liking this show. They still haven't explained much, but I'm kind of enjoying the slow unfolding.
Overall, I think this is in my Top 3 of Netflix Originals along with House of Cards and Bloodline.

I'd definitely recommend this show.

I'm through episode 3. It definitely has my interest. I definitely like the slow reveal. We have a general idea of what is going on kind of, but I'm intrigued about the specifics.

My only gripe is the lgbt agenda getting shoved down our throats. I don't care if they have gay characters on the show, but having the agenda pushed on us the whole time gets old.

I'm ok with the lesbian characters though lol
The gay guys are more humorous to me than anything.

I really like the Korean girl, the cop, and the African guy who drives the Van Damn

The characters are fine (the lesbian in the hospital is a really good character so far through ep. 3). It's the agenda pushing that gets old. It's even in their introduction piece.

Yeah, the Korean chick is a straight badass. And the cop is probably my favorite character so far. The African guy is just damn lucky he isn't dead.

ETA: I'm surprised that more people on this board aren't watching it.

I think the agenda exists on this show b/c one of the Wachowski brothers is now a she apparently.

Oh and my GF is telling me that the lesbian in the hospital is actually transgender in real life, so was a dude at one point. Gotta say, that surprised me.

I'm on episode 8 now. Binge watched yesterday. I really dig this show and I like how it took its time to explain what's going on.
I figured more people on this board would be watching this.

I enjoyed the show a lot more once the group all became aware of one another and figured out how they could use their abilities to help each other.

I've been slowly working my way through it, only finished episode 2 this morning, but I'm also avoiding anyone talking about it for the most part. I like what I've seen, it's a bit confusing but not in a bad way. I'm fine the the gay characters, but the "It's pride week" and gay agenda is pretty heavy handed, not outrageous or anything just a bit preachy and I'm a pretty big LGBT supporter.

Other than the whole Pride Week thing, the LGBT storyline didn't seem too heavy handed. The fact that 2 of the characters are gay will obviously influence some of the story lines.

I personally love the character of Nomi's girlfriend. She's a hoot.

Edit: I'm glad I stuck with it. The finale was worth the wait.

SPOILERS:

It was cool seeing them all work together to help Will rescue Riley from Whispers. Hopefully Netflix will renew it for another season.

You may want to give a spoiler warning on your edit paragraph. But yeah, I liked that too. The only thing that bugs me about the finale was...

I didn't like the show ending with Will having to stay in a drug induced state, and Whispers still after them. I wish they would've tied up that storyline. But I did like the parting shot of everyone there with him on the boat.

If you can get through the LBGT sex/agenda in the first few episodes, it really is a good show. I became invested in the characters, and it was pretty cool when they all started to figure things out.
