The moment Snyder read the script for MoS and failed to say "We can't have Pa Kent tell Superman he should maybe let a bus full of kids die and then later commit suicide by tornado" is when he (along with Goyer) should have been fired.

Pa Kent's lesson to Clark:

With great power, comes absolutely no responsibility if you have a secret. Screw'em!

Now watch as I totally not attempt to get away from the tornado. Make sure to tell your Mom that I couldn't take her cooking anymore. By the way, this totally reinforces my point that ANYONE ELSE is expendable to keep your secret.

Cavil is bad as Superman too.
Aquaman is going to be even worse.
Eisenberg as Lex is awful.

Wonder Woman looks like the only decent casting they've done. End it with Wonder Woman and I guess they can do another Suicide Squad.

Now that DC is dead, perhaps Warner Brothers can focus their efforts on the animiacs coming back. That would be cool.

This post is one of your greatest ever. Its a troll. But its the truest troll of all time. Like how Costanza said "its not a lie if you believe it." so say i "its not a troll if its true".

Why do we need more super hero movies? How are we not bored with it yet?

I just really think we need Superman done properly. frick the Justice League. We still haven't even gotten close to him or Lex Luthor.

Every time I'm on the lot I try to make my way by the watertower to break them out, but I always get sidetracked by the company store.

Yes....but the problem is the writing, not the directing. The way they write these characters is just wrong.

Honestly, I disagree. Cavill is a really good casting for Superman. The fricking scripts are awful, though.

his over correction in BvS may have been even worse...."good thing its after business hours and downtown is largely empty" "let's get him to go over to this completely abandoned part of the city"

It boggles my mind that they just have never gotten Superman right on screen. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Yes, to more modern audiences, the Big Blue BoyScout could bore some people and it might seem hokey.

But I think if done right it would be great.

Make it bright and colorful and Metropolis advanced technologically. Have Superman be a shining beacon, something to admire and respect and be awed by. Paint the screen in bright hues.

If you're doing Lex make him cunning and imposing and pulling strings behind the scenes. Not a bumbling buffoon or a little twink.

Better yet, use fricking Brainiac.

Don't have Superman let millions of people die. Don't have him brood.

Let him be better than all of us. Its ok.

You don't even have to make Lex the main antagonist. Really, for the cinematic universe, how do you pass up on Luthor being President and go right out of the gates with him being a Riddler rip off? Luthor should be a very overarching villain in the DC Universe.

Matt reeves i believe has written the script for al of his movies including that horror remake

Are they not letting him rework the script and why would he take a movie with a shite script. He hasn't done a lot of work but what he has done is amazing

His planet of the apes movie is criminally underrated

if you were going to start the universe over and do a true shared cinematic universe, I would have Lex be president and slowly revealed as more and more the villain before their own "Infinity Wars" with Darkseid, after about 10 films in the shared universe.

But that shite ain't happening. Warner Brothers is too fractured and too stupid. Marvel has huge inherent advantages in the way they are set up.

What they need to do...and they won't...is back off. Not make any films for 3-5 years. Completely restructure and make someone like Bruce Timm completely in charge and work together.

Never happening.

I would bet a million f-ing dollars that dickhead Zack Snyder has never read All Star Superman. He probably looked at one page and said "Not dark enough" and tossed it aside. shite, that's a lot of the elements in it to make a great movie - just trim out the stuff about Superman dying. They really nail the characters of Superman, Lex, Lois, Clark, Jimmy.

You'd think this would be the first thought that went through their head when designing an expanded universe, but nope, it was let's start with The Dark Knight Returns and the Death of Superman. I mean, what? Did they fricking think this through at all? A 7 year old should know why this wouldn't work.

If I were designing the universe, Luthor would be elected President at the end of Phase 1, with the following being the villains of the Justice League movies

1: Brainiac
2: Brainiac infused Luthor
3: Darkseid
