It wasn't a funny movie. The preview for the jackass/grandfather and kid movie got more laughs in the theatre than Don Jon.

It wasn't a review, just an idea of how good/funny I thought it would be after watching the trailer. Sort of like when you said
The reason I thought it looked terrible in the first place was from the attempt at humor in the trailer that was simply not funny. Clearly you thought there was humor in trailer, which is unsurprising considering I disagree with most anything you post. Go ahead and to show what you really think.
I am a bit surprised that this movie has been well-received by critics, but I am no more inclined to watch JGL in guido form try to be funny.

Not defending the guy because I pretty much disagree with the majority of what he posts, but I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic because people had called him out for basing his opinion on Gravity on the trailer alone. Someone else did the same thing for Don Jon and he found it funny. As do I, honestly.

And my problems with Gravity come from the two leads, the trailer hasn't done anything one way or the other for me. I was going to see it regardless of the trailers (unless they looked horrendously bad, which they haven't).

My roommate whose movie opinion is almost identical to mine absolutely hates Drive. Says it's horrible but I saw the preview and it didn't look that bad. Should I give it a watch?

Idk if I'm ready yet. I gave The Wind at Four to Fly a listen and while I think they're a band I could get into eventually, I just wasn't feeling it. I love jam bands so I'm sure It will eventually click for me but it hasn't happened yet. I did like some of the songs though.

That movie is so boring and dry. There is literally nothing engaging about that movie. Nothing. No characters pull you in, the story is bland, what little driving/action there is does nothing for you. It's just a lifeless movie that has no point or purpose.

Go in with low expectations and you will be okay. I went in with no expectations of any sort and man I want that time back.
