Made him a weak character IMO

Making Eva Greens character the mastermind behind him becoming a god king

He started out as a normal looking white guy then magically turned into a 7 foot tall black guy.

The backstory on Xerxes was stupid too.

Yeah, with the whole "magic water" thing I felt the audience was shortchanged.

The Athenians were such pussies compared to the Spartans.

I think the Persian ships were bigger than the Greek but no idea if they actually looked like that. Persia extended pretty far east, into Afganistan and Pakistan but dont believe it ever included India, or at least not much of India. Salamis did not happen like that at all. But it's all good.

I expect there to be a third.

I hope so, but the only major battle left is Plataea and that was kind of covered at the end of the first movie

Eva Green for some reason reminds of a skinny Emily Blunt. She is nice for sure, but I'll take
Blunt anyday.

Compared to the Spartans, the Athenians were the ultimate betas.

Went in expecting it to be total crap but it was actually pretty entertaining. Only problem I had was the overuse of slow motion. I probably liked as much as the first if not more. Anyone else see it?

Agree and the parody of Shakespeare's Heny V St. Crispin's speech was poorly done and or, 'dummiefied' down for today's lemming.

Saw it last night in 3-D a solid A and worth the price of admission.

I enjoyed it. The first was better, but it was still pretty damn good. A lot of really good fight scenes, but it did seem like they tried a little too hard on the slow motion/special effects.

I think this really stood out, even the difference in how built they were. Themistokles was a Athenian General and he wasn't even as cut up as the average Spartan. Might have been done on purpose though

I thought the Athenians fought well. They won at Marathon.

Checked it out Friday night, thought it was good and on par with the first one. Eva Green gave me such a boner

eta: Liked how the movies intertwined with each other, rather than it being like a prequel or sequel.

Saw yesterday. I would give 4 out of 5 stars. They overdid the slow mo blood splatter which was designed for the 3D version obviously. Eva Green was awesome and sexy as the villain.

Pretty good flick
