Rumor is Jordan plays a vampire hunting the KKK

ETA:

quote:

Hailee Steinfeld, who voices Gwen Stacy in the acclaimed Spider-Verse movies, will star opposite Michael B. Jordan in Ryan Coogler’s untitled supernatural thriller being made by Warner Bros. Pictures.

The buzzy project, the object of a high-profile bidding war in January, heads before cameras later this month in New Orleans and has been furiously casting up. Wunmi Mosaku, Delroy Lindo and Jack O’Connell, among others, make up the heady call sheet.

quote:

Delroy Lindo is heading back to the big screen.

The actor, who in recent years has starred in Hulu’s Unprisoned and appeared in Netflix’s The Harder They Fall, has closed a deal to join Michael B. Jordan in the untitled supernatural horror thriller that Ryan Coogler is directing for Warner Bros.

Little is known about that project — and what is known has yet to be confirmed by either the studio or Coogler. Insiders say the feature is set in the Jim Crow-era South, and possibly involves both vampires and Southern supernatural traditions. Jordan may be playing dual roles — as twin brothers.

Lindo’s part is being kept in the coffin but one source describes it as having a musical element to it. The feature is gearing for shoot later this spring in New Orleans, and recently cast Jack O’Connell as a villain.

Maybe he has some dynamic roles that I haven't seen, but from what I have seen he's just boring as shite to me. I'll watch anything involving vampires so we'll see I guess

Fruitvale station, creed, black panther, judas and the black messiah were all really good imo. I never saw the second black panther but i wouldn't hold that against him too much with the star dying and having to pivot.

Cool that word is out. Thats my next movie. But at this point, if you read that article, you know more about it than I do. Still finishing up the previous movie so I don’t have any of the info, just that my crew is doing it.

Coogler didn't direct .... but was a very hands on producer.

RE: Froman --- i'm guessing G+E ...
And the new movie is filming around NOLA apparently. Should be fun.

I honestly don't find him dynamic or charismatic either. You watch his scenes with Stallone in Creed and its almost embarrassing in how you can tell instantly who's the movie star and who will never be.

Wait, isn’t the planned Blade movie supposed to be set in the *20’s or some such?

Sensing a potential theme here…

*ETA

Marvel Studios has yet to publicly comment on Blade's supposed 1920s setting, which means this report should be taken with a grain of salt for now.

That's the main movie I'm basing my opinion on. He had this amazingly juicy role and other than being ripped and boxing he didn't really offer anything to the character. I don't think his facial expression changed the entire movie. For a while it seemed like Hollywood was trying to push him as the next Denzel which is beyond laughable

Exactly

It is beyond laughable because Denzel is one of the most charismatic actors we've had...Jordan couldn't carry his jockstrap. He must've been installed because I don't get it...he's so boring and almost depressing to watch on screen.
