Rian Johnson has cautioned that the full-length trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi might be too spoilery for some fans’ tastes. In just over two months, we will finally get to see the next installment in the mainline Star Wars film saga in full. However, Johnson seems to be indicating that tonight’s trailer launch will offer more clues about the movie’s narrative than some might like to know, ahead of time.

Rian Johnson ? @rianjohnson
I a legitimately torn. If you want to come in clean, absolutely avoid it.

But it’s gooooood.....

I really would love to avoid trailers and go in not knowing a thing about the film. I'm too weak though

If they spoil Luke doing some next level shite, I'll be thrilled.

If they spoil Poe getting frozen in carbonite, I'll be pissed.

frick. I'm really torn here. It looks like a fantastic trailer, and I need my Star Wars hype, but damn I hate spoilers

When I read the GoT feaux leaks last November which in return wound up being true, opened up pandora's box for me lol.

That and the GoT ending holds so much more water for me right now than SW:VIII so I will watch the trailer.

It'll be so hard not to watch, just because it will be everywhere.

I'll watch, but try not to read much about it

Meh.

“Too spoilery” for some might mean they give a basic outline of the first 30 minutes of the movie which doesn’t bother me at all.

I’m watching.

well shite if this upcoming trailer is too spoilery I can't imagine how bad the short ones that come out as soon as it starts playing will be.

I'm just gonna wait for the film and skip the trailers. It's fricking Star Wars. I don't need a trailer to get me into the theater.

Same. The trailer is meant to convince me to see the film. As a Star Wars fan I already know I'm going to see it, so there is no reason for me to watch it. I didn't watch the TFA trailer either and felt like I enjoyed the movie more because of it.

Went back and watched TFA trailer after I saw the full movie and was glad I avoided it.

TFA trailer was great at not giving too much away. Just pure fricking hype.

It was a great trailer but definitely had some reveals that I was glad I didn't know. For instance, in the film Kylo is talking to someone in a room about how he's failing and being tempted by the light side, etc. and it is specifically shot in a way not to reveal who (or what) he's talking to until they show Vader's helmet at the end of the scene. They just straight up show that in the trailer. I know that's small and most people don't give a crap but it was a cool moment I enjoyed experiencing while watching the full film and not on Youtube.
