It does not hold up as well as I had hoped....
Watched 3 Ninjas, Little Giants, and the Sandlot as well and those hold up MUCH better over time. Heavyweights was actually fairly boring on the rewatch and I loved it as a kid.

This guy doesn't get enough credit when the discussion of "Greatest Movie Villains" comes up.

Some movies hold up well even if they do come off as dumb... Home Alone does, Little Giants, Sandlot, Rookie of the Year, etc.... This one did not

rewatch it with friends almost every year. think it holds up amazingly well. we always find someone who hasnt seen it before and they usually end up loving it.

that was a solid era for non animated kids movies. Do they even make those anymore? It seems like everything is animated now

Sandlot, Mighty Ducks, Little Giants, Rookie of the Year, 3 Ninjas, Little Big League....etc.

It holds up really well actually. Sorry if you don't get the humor. 90's was the peak for comedy. Edgy but still family friendly.

I was actually thinking of this just the other day. Those exact movies.. Of course they still make non-animated kids movies today, I mean I imagine they do.. but are they even good? Are they the same?

Do they make movies like those today? If so, what would be some examples?
