I'm not from Louisiana, but it's damn good TV. If people want to rate it as their #1, who am I or you to care?

The scenes where Marty is talking about not realizing the most important aspects of life were his kids and how he never noticed until it was too late...tough to watch. Very true.

I have been formulating a True Detective thread in my head for some time that I will post soon when I can gather my thoughts. I loved every second of it. They NAILED those characters. My dad was a gunslinger for LSP in the 70s and 80s, doing narc drug gang work and some other cool shite and , essentially, he was part Cohle and Hart, and Very similar to both characters. Yes he was a poon hound as well.

They show 3 asses in that show. All were finer than frog hair.

The Beth slut got overshadowed by the other two, but she was mighty sexy.

I disagree with the binary implications of it was GOAT or no so great. It had moments that were beyond TV drama. Up to Episode 5 it was religious with unlimited potential. It had a close that lost its momentum. In the end it had a less that desired ending. Its final episode was only less than desired because of the table that was set in the beginning. The second season was an abortion.
