No way Sully would let Mickey go just for telling him who really killed Colleen. The guy stole a fortune off of him and then turned him and his whole crew over to the FBI.

I'm finishing up ep.7 as we speak. I really like this show. What hooked me was seeing 2 dead people and a pair of boobs within the first 3 minutes.

I have watched the first 2 episodes so far and it hasnt really impressed me.
Does it get better?
Does it take a few more episodes to get into the series?
Should I already be hooked?
I dont know if I should invest anymore time into it or it.

I didn't like it at first because.......to be honest Schreiber just doesn't seem like a bad arse to me. Yeah, slick mob guy......just not a bad arse. As the season has gone a long I have gotten more and more into it though. With Dexter on its last gasps.....I have gotten more into it. Last night kind of had a big "oh shite" moment. So I do want to see how the season ends.

Give it time. It seems to be getting better with every episode. Especially since there is a James Woods appearance. I think that LS really is embracing this role. I'm enjoying it.

This is what doesn't make sense to me. Why did Ray frame Mickey for Colleen's death if he knew it was Sean Walker that did it? And why would he conspire with Ezra?

Ray was angry at Mickey because of his sister and mother's death. Mickey was banging brown sugar while his mother was dying of cancer

I was not real impressed the first 5-6 episodes but the last few have picked up the pace. Season is setting up nicely.

I don't remember them mentioning the cancer thing with Ray's mom but I probably missed it. It makes more sense now.

What an horrible episode. Think about this for a second, Sully murders a famous actor and leaves a witness who just informed him that he's still working for the FBI. Mick would never have left the oilfield in the first place. Guys like Sully aren't interested in stories but even if that does happen he's not allowing an informant to take two breaths after the actor is killed.
The wife and daughter make the show almost unwatchable even without the crappy writing.
I'm done with Ray Donovan.

I love this show.
I buy Sully letting him go....its clear those two had a past. Their falling out was based on Mickey killing Colleen....which he didn't do.
It seems as if Southie's are super emotional too and can be talked off ledges.

I liked this show, but not enough fixing now.
The daughter needs to go away to boarding school or something, she is horrible.
I didn't like the wife in Deadwood and she is worse now. Does anyone else have a more schizophrenic charachter on TV?
I am okay with the brothers, but I with Mickey, Bunch needs to suck it up.
More fixing or just kill of Mickey and deal with the fall out.

Totally agree. The wife is awful. Her accent is awful. Her acting is awful.
