No Gaffigan, no Super Troopers 2.

Not as critical as the troupe and Cox. They can get almost any Hollywood females for the female roles. I think guys like Gaffigan will line up to reprise support roles from the first film - but a great villain is going to be key.

The first movie was cast fairly well, so I trust they'll do alright - again, Farva and the Captain are worth seeing the entire thing - everything else would be lagniappe.

I mean she's in her 40s. She's staying in reasonably good shape. Her face is really wide, but, I'm not picky:

Not as critical? His character is about as replaceable as you can get in a movie w/o getting put on the editing room floor. There are literally hundreds of actors that could play the part of confused traffic stop prank victim w/o any change to the impact of the "meow" bit.

Yeah I forgot Gaffigan was even in ST until y'all said it

He's no where near needed for the sequel

I was trying to be nice - I barely remember him being in the original - hell I think the German couple had more of an impact - they should be brought back if possible.

But, at this point, I'm not even counting Ursula as "critical" and she would be next after the Troupe and Cox.

Well, he and Kruger were the real actors, although the troupe are all good within their roles - Farva remains the best character.

I'm so pumped they made their money, and that quickly. Had they been struggling, I'd have thrown some $ down.

Also, I think in the other thread about this, I saw someone say that this was a cult comedy. And while that's reasonably true, it was still widely released and made $20+ million against a $1.2 million budget. So it did really well in theaters (not to mention rentals, DVDs, etc.).

They should treat this as an investment and instead of selling experiences as they did, sell shares of the movie. A $100 investment into the movie could yield a $2,000 payday.

That explains my ignorance.

Would be awesome, but they're not stupid enough to do that, and the industry climate doesn't need it yet IMO (because people are willing to give for scraps already). I do think that could pan out in the future though, and is a very cool idea.

Also, just getting into that page for ST2, and there is some awesome stuff you get for different levels of donations. Going to premiers, behind the scenes stuff/access, speaking part in the movie, director for a day, even the lesser shite like signed and personalized posters...it's a lot of cool shite. And I can't believe the "We'll be your groomsmen" one is still available. That's pretty badass.
