So, I had absolutely no interest in this movie. I mean, zero. I just looked at RT and the reviews are great so far. It doesn't have many in yet (23), but it has a score of 91%. There's a good amount of positive reviews from top critics.

So I started wondering how the frick a sequel to a piss poor movie could be so good. I looked at the director listed and realized it's Mike Flanagan. He did not direct the first movie, but he did direct some pretty damn good horror movies which include Absentia, Oculus, and Hush. I really enjoyed all of those.

This movie could completely bomb in reviews from here on out and I don't know if I'll like it. But I do have to hand it to the franchise for giving a frick and bringing in a director worth a shite to do this movie. I'm at the very least intrigued to see it now.

I worked on the first one unfortunately (wasn't good but did win the box office two weeks in a row and made 100M WW) .... I was pleasantly surprised to see the good reviews for the new one.

We didn't have a great DP and as nice as our director he was green.
