That too. Literally has bugged me since dad took me to see it in theaters when I was a kid. One of the biggest plot holes ever.

Guy on /r/movies says he went to a press screening. Said it was easily the second best one and gave it an 8.5/10

You then see it scream at a flying dinosaur, then you see flying dinosaurs attacking people instead of flying off to safety. Also the "killing for sport" line, with the "it can communicate line" makes it seem like it kills off the herbivores and uses the carnivores to help attack.

There has been some rumors, and some clips from the movie to show some sort of Planet of the Apes type of intelligence amongst the dino's. The leader being the newly created super Tyrannosaur or whatever it's called.

You know, I was just watching the TRex clip from JP1 and when Grant and the girl were using the cable to climb down the wall, I don't even see how you would even be able to see the TRex unless he had climbed up a tree.

Just like every movie ever made, there are going to be over the top stuff, or things that are difficult to believe. I mean talking monkies, who actually believes that?
BUT, how you can't be excited to see a movie with Dino's chasing, and eating people is beyond me. Don't be such a movie snob to where you can't enjoy a good popcorn flick.
I can't wait to see the movie. Regardless if homeboy is going after super dino with his raptor possie.

That, and there are trailers where the raptors are attacking people as well.
eta: As for the JP1 sudden cliff plot hole I don't believe there is an explanation. I've seen it on sme random cable "ranked list" type of shows where it was just a major oversight that no one caught in production.
