True, because the White House also falls in the new GI Joe movie.
This is coming three months later. With Jamie Foxx as the President no less.

Wow.
Word gets out that X studio is making a "white house get f@cked" movie so every other studio goes to their file cabinet pulls out the same script and runs with it.
Bunch of damn sheep

I really liked it. Lots of action, a good story, even more action. The token love story doesn't get in the way. F the DPRK!!
(spoiler)
The Cerberus angle kinda sucked though. So three people have access to a code that can set off every US Nuke at one time?
I get that the President should have a fail safe, but shouldn't that fail safe also prevent nukes from self destructing before launch.
Also the president telling the Admiral and the SecDef to give up their codes.
The president is a man, the office is the institutions. The acting president should have not recalled the troops from the DMZ and turned the 7th fleet away. That showed the world we would give in to terrorists. But it did advance the plot.
Great popcorn film. Not a great movie, but It was a Die Hard flick, that was better than the last two Die Hards.

yep, already read a review that said this what A Good Day to Die Hard should have been. Gerard Butler is a good action type, but of course Willis is the man. Yippy Ki Yay.

BTW, my wife is in the movie. She plays Morgan's assistant, Mary. She doesn't have any lines though. But she's in a ton of shots.

I like this guy. I wouldn't consider him B movie. He's been in a ton of movies. He's trying to win a state title in Dazed and Confused

Die Hard in Moscow was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Shitty all around.
Olympus I saw tonite and it was good. No over the top cheezy moments. A lot of violence and blood and intensity.

You must've worked on the movie

For some reason when she was being dragged away and saying the pledge, I started laughing. Hah

No, it was filmed in North Louisiana.
I never go there.
I saw a trailer and had this thread a few weeks back, then changed the title after I saw the movie.
I liked it.

It's good because it had ;Murica F- Ya moments, at the same time, we get our asses whipped by a well planned terrorist attack.
(Spoilerish)
Looking at the movie, if a AC-130 did make an incursion and shot the air defense down with guns rather than missiles (German Air force reported last year in war games the 22 was more vulnerable to cannon fire than missiles) er know AC-130's are 'Angel of Deaths" and have tons of counter measures.
Then at the same time, when all the attention is in the air, have terrorists on the ground gain entry.
Like said in the movie. "It takes 15 minutes for the military to reach the white house, we took it in 13"

This movie was pretty awful from beginning to end. It's not even in the realm of possibility. A plane would never get that close to DC, especially not a spectre gunship.
I went with two of my buddies who are Air Force pilots at Andrews and are air sovereignty detail. They were actually offended by some parts of the movie. Some slow arse c130 is going to take down two, TWO F-22s, the most advanced fighter in the world? Sorry but not happening.

Yeah assuming half the secret service keeps running into a hail if gunfire from garbage trucks.
After Butler yells get down and the first wave of men get cut down you think the rest wouldn't have ran lemming style into that gunfire.
I liked the movie though. This was probably the script for Under Siege 3 before Segal got fat.

Frank Eugene Corder (May 26, 1956 – September 12, 1994) crashed a stolen Cessna 150 onto the South Lawn of the White House early on September 12, 1994, apparently trying to hit the building; he was killed, and was the sole casualty.
military Pilots can't make the decision.
What if they are shot down first?
quote:
A general aviation airplane without a flight plan, chugging into restricted airspace, does not take long to stick out from the herd. If the Airvan continues to ignore the fighters in its face, EADS will pass an alert up a chain of command, where unspecified persons will have to decide what to do about it, perhaps within minutes, if the off-course pilot swings west toward the nation’s capital.
quote:
. One of the few detailed studies on the subject, a 2005 Government Accountability Office (GAO) report, found 3,400 violations of restricted airspace, or about three a day, in the 39 months following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, which rewrote the rules of U.S. aviation.
quote:
Most violators, of course, respond to a radio warning from Federal Aviation Administration controllers, and if not to that, then to the bright red and green lights used to flood the cockpit of intruders in the vicinity of Washington, and if not that, then to the Coast Guard Dolphin helicopters that sometimes precede the jet fighters. All the same, military aircraft have engaged interlopers “hundreds of times” over American skies since 9/11, says Davi D’Agostino, the GAO’s director of Defense Capabilities and Management. And defenders cite at least three cases last year alone when they feared they would be ordered to apply the ultimate sanction: annihilating a general aviation aircraft to stop it from committing a presumed terrorist act.
Plus the Angel of Death is made to not be shot down.
Even though there are restrictions a GA pilot can be cleared to fly that airspace and can enter a flight plan to Reagan, deviate at the last second and be over the mall.
Of the holes in the movie, that was not one.
