And it's absolutely terrible. Y'all aren't getting any pics of my pregnant ol lady...
Back to the subject; this is an absolutely horrid movie. What an abortion.
I get that there's a "women can do stuff" movement, but how was this movie thought to be possibly a good idea?

It was sort of aggressively not funny.
Not bad per se, just sort of there. You are waiting for something to be funny, and waiting, and waiting... and then the credits roll. I generally like my humor to be more amusing.
Kate McKinnon would make a great female super villain though. That feral smile she did throughout this wretched movie would work wonders for a Harley Quinn type bad guy.

I though the terribleness of it was being over hyped due to all the "controversy" surrounding it ... but holy shite was it bad.
There's really very little good about it. It just sort of "exists"
I have to give Sony credit, it was genius to turn the critics of the film into "misogynists" and have the crazy SJW/feminists rally to go see the film. It was the only way they drove a decent number to the box office and then they were able to hide just how terrible the film truly is.

It's not just that Melissa McCarthy isn't funny....it's that she is annoying as hell.
She reminds me of Mimi from the old Drew Carey Show. That character was annoying too but was limited to being a supporting character.

Melissa McCarthey wasn't really the comedy focus though. A few jokes but the laughs weren't really supposed to come from her character, I don't think.

Agree. I would never have watched it, but my father-in-law had it on during a visit. It was retarded level stupid and not funny at all.
The FIL actually said that he thought it was better than the original. Good lawd.
