I never watched Flash or any of the other DC shows but have been told that Arrow was good. Would I be lost if I just start watching it? Wondered if it might be a spinoff or something requiring me to know a backstory.

Arrow actually started the DC TV universe. You should be fine.

You can watch it from the beginning. The CW did start doing cross over shows several seasons in which would cause minimal confusion, but they are not the major story arcs of the seasons.

If you like retarded lesbians with no concept of human normalcy prancing around a guy in a hood who can't turn his neck and likes to sniff male taint, then arrow is for you.

It's a decent show but 2nd half of season 3 and all of season 4 is dogshit.

It definitely gets old. But that might just be me. I rarely finish a TV show.

I would suggest The Flash over Arrow personally. I think it's WAY better.

Season 5 redeems it.

I never got the flash love around here.

I really dislike it intensely. I tried to stick with it first season but got bored.

Stop after season 2. I haven't watched 5 though but I heard it was much better than 3 and 4. 3 and 4 were torturous.

Meh, I've already lost interest. There's much better stuff out there to watch.

Seasons 3 and 4 are fine, don't listen to anyone that tells you different. Are they at the level of seasons 1 and 2? No, but are they completely unwatchable like people here exaggerate? Not close, it's still solid entertaining television.

It went from a comic book show to a soap opera, that isn't an exaggeration

If you like super heroes and don't mind pg-13 fun w/ terrible writing, then these shows are for you. I watch them and season 4 of Arrow and season 3 of Flash were very difficult to get through, especially when you know they can just hop over and be like "Ay Supergirl, I need a hand" but never do. This is most evident in the end of Flash season 3.

I admit both are guilty pleasures of mine, but like others have said, they're downright awful at times.

It's basically Batman with Green Arrow as the stand in. The journey from dangerous outlaw to beloved hero of Gotham...I mean Star City.

I watched season 1 and started season 2, but switched to watching Flash. I keep trying to go back and watch, but cant get interested.

I am biased towards the flash as hes my favorite superhero as a kid. I have watched the 1990's Flash tv show at least twice, so that kind proves my bias.

I have no explaination as to why I lost interest. I dont think there was a drop off in quality.
