Several people have mentioned that one of the two bad W guys found Aaron's backpack and was looking at pictures and a map, which could lead them back to Alexandria.

I saw him looking at the recruitment pics of Alexandria, but there was no map. (There was however a recent picture of cleaned-up Rick and Carl, which didn't make any sense because I thought Aaron had told Rick & co. that he wasn't able to take a pic of the whole group of townspeople 'cause the camera wasn't working.) If you rewatch the episode on AMC's website, that scene is at 1:01 of their video. The only map I ever saw was the map to DC which Abraham left at the church for Rick, the one Morgan had.

On the Gabriel/Sasha scene, I too wouldn't mind seeing them gone, but I think the importance of that whole scene was that they, along with Maggie, renewed their faith and hope. Sounds corny, I know, but that hope can be ascribed to everything this season: hope for a safe place, a strong community, etc.

? he didnt leave the compoud

he turned and rushed back into the town, leaving Carver to "shut" the gate

You are right. I was confused by the many trees in the background (which looked like outside the walls). Plus, I tend to cringe away from every one of Carver's scenes. So nobody was to be on guard duty during the meeting?

I was really hoping Maggie would shoot Gabrielle

Not that I know of which leads me to my question, how did Daryl, aaron and Morgan get inside with no one at the gate?

Deana's son went to go check the gate when Rick said that someone left it open.

I bet the numbers for last night were pretty fricking stupid. This has been a solid season, and the finale was 90 minutes. I bet the numbers were off the charts.

Yea, so how is that not the flagship show?

DeAnna sent her Son to the gate when Rick showed up at the bonfire with the Walker. He told her that told Gaberial to close the gate and she told him to go.

I can dig that a little bit. She definitely saved the day at Terminus and even pulled some "badass" type moves.
Just think what would have happened when she found out Doc broke her casserole dish.

That whole scene was just weird. It's like all of a sudden there were a hundred walkers surrounding them. I know the doors opened and the music started blaring, but those walkers got there FAST.

I thought about the swiftness of the walkers being out of the ordinary, too, but the scene with red riding hood makes me think that most of the walkers are fresh-killed humans, not the slow, decomposing walkers that have been roaming around the countryside. The show has gradually shown how the walkers have physically weakened the further they exist from the point they were originally turned. Fresh live kills by the Wolves = stronger zombie horde. Jmo.

He didn't break her dish. He just dumped it on the floor when he dropped it. Now think how pissed she would be.

She slaved over a hot stove making him a nice casserole only for him to throw it on the floor. His last meal got served.

God that part obvious and stupid. I mean a plot has to be moved along but that was ridiculous. You have one job gate guy. One job. It takes two seconds to close the gate and some priest is coming in who doesn't appear capable of anything so you ask him to do your two second job of closing the gate?

Best part about last night was that I believe Coral had one line

First time to read a TD Walking Dead thread. I thought my wife and I were the only ones to call him Coral. I guess Rick's way of saying it is more obvious than I thought.

The Alexandria people are entirely too trustworthy. That was kind of the point. He had no idea that Gabriel was a shithead.

I haven't had time to re watch. Were the two guys who Morgan beat up and the two guys who went back to the trap the same guys?

A-a-ron also said that one of the exiles was crazy smart. I don't think either of the two borderline tards that Morgan laid the smack down on seem to fit that description.

That walker trap was pretty smart IMHO. Thought that reinforced the point that it was them.

At least Eugene's useless arse made himself seem important and wasnt a pyscho.

The show has gotten bloated with useless characters; they get very little airtime and take away from additional character development of folks who could add something to the mix.

Dead weight (regulars):

1. Brother Gabe (needs to go asap)
2. Sasha (not far behind Brother Gabe)
3. Eugene (had his 15 minutes of glory)
4. Tara (still here for what reason?)

(Note: Now that Morgan is going to be around, Brother Gabe doesn't make it pass Season 6, Episode 1).

No Big Loss:

Glenn (I still can't buy into him being a bad arse. When Carol is a more believable bad arse than you, it's time to go. Plus, would like to see Maggie become the town tramp).

Trim the fat:

Eliminate 80% of the Alexandria folks....keep the women.

(Note: I'm channeling Rick right now).
