I've read this mentioned so many times today, "how did it get dark so fast?"
Depending on the time off year the sun can set very fast. Also, it is not uncommon for shows to jump ahead in time as scenes shift and the next events happen.
It was setup the meeting was taking place that evening, events were leading up to the meeting, not surprised at how it progressively got darker each scene.

Gabe just fricks everything up like early seasons Coral.
Best part about last night was that I believe Coral had one line ("Dad!" when he realized Rick had woken up).
I knew it was wishful thinking that Coral would die, but there's always hope.

Agreed. My only problem with that part was that Rick never told anyone about the walkers inside the gates. He should've been yelling in the streets about it to make sure people were on-point and alert. Also, he had no idea if the three he killed were the only ones there or not. Just felt a bit rushed (although it didn't take anything away from it for me).

But there was stuff going on while it was still daylight, then it was dark and that stuff was still going on, pretty much picking up where it left off.
So, Rick starts chasing walkers through town while it is still daylight, then it is dark and he still hasn't found them, and somehow, all those people had walked to the meeting without running into them either? How big is Alexandria?

Sasha's zombie mattress reminded me of the Bon Jovi song, "I wanna lay you down in a bed of walkers"

I thought it was a bit ridiculous that Rick was unaccounted for at the start of the meeting and no one thought to go look for him.

IMO the exiled people are part of another group. The Wolves-more than just 2 I think- don't know about Alexandria but finding the backpack and the photos will be their link to it.
Finding out Morgans backstory from Clear until now will be interesting. He apparently met up with David Carradine or something because he acts just like Kwai from Kung Fu. Not sure how he and Rick will jive. Their characters appear pretty far apart in their philosophies.

I thought Maggie went to go look?

And why wasn't Maggie worried about Glenn missing? I don't remember the plan in case things went sideways. Maybe he wasn't supposed to be there.
Plus, Deanna's other son, the one who went out when Gabriel came in, was at the meeting. Don't know where he went going, but how did he get back in? Seems like that would have taken a little while.
Add it all together, and I felt like I had missed a scene.

Meh, I like the way he handled it. He knew his people would be fine and so would he. Carl and judith were inside so no worries there. He knew if he killed the walkers and showed the weak Alexandria people they needed him to stay alive then his crew would gain control.
Made perfect sense to me. They had guns stashed away and knives on their sides.

She did after a while when she was making her case and Deanna wasn't buying it.

Agreed. I thought it was strange that she didn't seem to know/care that Glenn wasn't there either.
I know the meeting was an open meeting and anybody could go (or not go), but Rick, Glenn, Sasha, Gabriel (less important), Coral (was he? I assume he was with Judith), Darryl, Tara (understandable, but she was awake), Rosita (didn't notice her...assume she was with Tara?) weren't there.
It just felt super weird that it was a meeting for Rick's fate and most of his group weren't there when you'd think it'd be something they'd all want to be there for to defend their guy.
Great finale, but the last few minutes or so definitely felt rushed.

AMC needs a flagship show. Because after Mad Men ends. TWD will have to be the flagship series of the network
Hasn't WD been AMC's highest rated show ever for a while now?

quote:I disagree. She's not some skilled fighter type, I don't think they've ever portrayed her as that.
As for Carol, I don't fully buy into the "She's a total fricking badass" thing. I get that's what her character is now, but I just have a hard time going with it. Sure, she wins the little face-off with doc because he's a pussified coward, but most alcoholic wife-beaters would've kicked the shite out of her. And obviously it's easy to scare the shite out of a little kid. But she better be careful because she isn't as badass as she thinks she is IMO, and that could come back later to bite her (maybe even literally) at some point.
But she’s shown to be smart and willing to do whatever it takes for preservation. Think of her saving the day at Terminus, then the decision to shoot the kid. She’s coldblooded, no one else in Rick’s group would have shot the young girl. Carol is legit, in some ways you can say she’s the scariest person in the group IMO.
quote:I always just think, if you ran full speed, pushing them out of the way as you go, it would seem really simple to get away, no matter how many there are. Of course, that’s not really conducive to having a good TV show though.
Walkers seem to be pretty easy to just opush out of the way, so even though you're being crowded by them, just shoving one or two in the way of other ones should yield enough time to bolt out of there.

Yeah Rick had free roam of Alexandria, as did Pete apparently. I find it hilarious that no one seemed concerned that Pete or the loose cannon with a grudge against Pete weren't there

Could very well be. I just think they've made an effort to call attention to both and that both will be in separate groups that our crew will encounter eventually.

Would have been hilarious if Rick had come in bloodied and disheveled- threw the walker on the ground and demanded, "Who left the dang door open?!"

A-a-ron also said that one of the exiles was crazy smart. I don't think either of the two borderline tards that Morgan laid the smack down on seem to fit that description. There is either a really smart exile leading a much larger force of Wolves, or they are two separate groups.
