Yeah I didn't either, but it's interesting. This week he said something about Blair from Facts of Life and talked about how she had to move on and do something after her acting career ended "like many many other actors have done".

Guess he was actually referring to himself.

Only the Internet would be so cruel as to put him side by side with Ozzy.

BTW, I don't recall them ever mentioning Penner was an actor. I always thought he had a voice for radio or acting and a very expressive face...

IIRC the very 1st time he was on survivor some one asked him and he told them no. the person was like "are you sure" and Penner reply was something along the lines of "If I was an actor you think I come out here and endure this torture" and it was never brought up again.

Yeah, but he went in with a terrible alliance. Abi is one of the worst cast members ever. She is a total fricking moron, so I automatically lose respect for anyone who went in with her. Clearly a sign of poor judgement.

That said, he got hosed last night, and the other alliance were idiots for targeting him.

If you're going to blindside that crew, why not take out Pete, the only one with any chance of actually getting jury votes??? Plus, you catch them off guard, so why not take out the biggest threat.

Or at least blind side Abi. Now you have to worry about her playing the Idol, or even worse, handing it off to Pete to try to screw up the voting.

I really like that Lisa and Skupin switched sides, but they really screwed up going after Artis.

Yeah, I just assumed that Lisa will be with them going forward.

I figured Skupin didn't tell her because he thought she may say something to blow it at tribal again.

But I hope Skupin is still seeing them as working together.

The scenario in your first paragraph above is why they went for Artis. There was a discussion that they weren't sure if Abi would play the idol or pass it to Pete so they went for Artis - flipping the numbers going forward.

As to the second part, I think only Skupin switched sides (Lisa's ballot was cast for Penner with all the hearts on it). I would imagine she'll now join with Skupin with numbers, but she has been ridiculously loyal to her original tribe since the merge.

Now, if Lisa will commit to the new numbers, they can split votes between Abi/Pete (3 each), flush the idol out, and eliminate Pete (presumably Abi will be too selfish to share the idol if her arse is on the line). Of course, this presumes Lisa joins AND the alliance stays strong.

ETA: Saw the correction after I posted this one. Think it was a solid play to get Artis out (kind of funny Artis showed more personality in this episode than he had in the entire season previously). But this season has been so crazy recently I have no clue how it proceeds from here. I've been thinking Malcolm or Denise will take it but damn if Penner hasn't stuck around and played a great game so far.

Yep, shaping up to be a decent season with a little drama/suspense.

Lisa seems like such a sweet lady and for her to stay loyal to those assholes is beyond me. I mean they treat the lady like shite.

I agree with all that is said above me, nothing really else to add other than did anybody catch Kent last night after the vote? That SOB is still pissed that Penner has stayed in the game. Penner must have taken his old lady to pound town or something.

Did anyone else catch last night when Penner was talking to Lisa about the effect that always being a performer/actor has had on her? She said something about how well he understands it and he replied "that's my life too." I would have never thought anything of that comment if someone hadn't brought up his acting career in this thread.

By the way, Lisa's divorce was final on March 1st, and she left for Survivor on March 10th. As a devout Christian whose career revolves around speaking at Christian women's conferences, her emotions have to be screwed up. This actually helps explain some of her breakdowns early in the season, and some of her speech last night about the impact the show is having on her life.

She's still a naive fool, but I gotta feel for her a little.

It's funny that the Brazilian bitch said she was concerned about Lisa switching sides because she's so naive. In reality, her naivity is the only thing keeping her loyal to them.

I loved how when it was 3 tribes, Probst would call her out for not competing in the challenges. Then last night she did not compete again cause no one picked her.
