Is NBC really the #1 network?

It's like radio stations. There are multiple ways to measure it. #1 in daytime, #1 in primetime, #1 in full day, #1 in a specific demographic, #1 in a specific genre, etc. They conveniently leave out the fine print and just say, "#1 network."

So I just looked Leo's wiki page and he HAS won two other golden globes, Aviator and Wolf of Wall Street Best Actor.

For the SAG Awards, he has been nominated a lot but never won. He is up for Best Actor for The Revenant.

For the Academy Awards, he has been nominated for 4 and never won.

The golden gloves aren't predictive of the Oscars or Emmy's all that often.

No, but when there is a clear frontrunner (e.g., Ledger in the TDK; DDL in TWBB or Lincoln), they often align. I think Leo is in that clear frontrunner position.

Eddie Redmayne does not have enough Hollywood cred to win back-to-back best actor oscars (nor is he a one of a kind talent that makes back to back wins inevitable). If he wins again (with an ok performance in a not so great movie), it says a whole lot more about the Hollywood elite's personal views toward Leo D than it does about Redmayne's talent imo.

And I say this as a huge Eddie Redmayne fan who thinks he was totally robbed for not getting a best supporting actor nod for Les Mis.

Have we discussed Leo's face when Gaga ran into his arm?

And, might I add, Gaga looked incredible tonight. Thank you, Miley Cyrus, for "out-batshit-crazy-ing" her.

Based on Collider Movietalk, which I watch everyday, it's Fassbender's to lose with Redmayne close behind. They want Leo to win, but they are not hearing he is the front runner.

Im happy with the results for film. I think the Big short was better than the Martian, but thats mostly because I didnt like the comedy part of the Martian, and the book was just so much better. Still a good film though and deserving. I also feel that Bale and Carrel's acting were better in TBS. But the Martian was a shoe in for awards with the hype in 2015 from the book.

Didnt like that Steve Jobs movie won anything.

Best score for h8ful is spot on.

Inside out is a no doubter for animated.
