True, but if she's taking Vicodin she's in some serious pain and no having it while being in pain would certainly alter her mood.

Or if she's addicted to it and she's not getting it.

Definitely. While everyone else in the house was talking behind the twins back trying to catch them, Vanessa was going to them (well Julia) and offering them a safety line in return for their allegiance. Then she took that allegiance, and used it to bargain allegiance with Shelli, Clay, Austin, and Steve. That was the move that setup her whole game, and why she was able to manipulate the rest of the game to her advantage.

It's basically hydrocodone, which is a mild pain killer. If she was addicted to pain killers, she'd be taking something far more powerful.

It is hydrocodone, Vicodin is just the brand name. I was taking them daily for 3 years for chronic back pain, and I can say if I was having pain and didn't have any I was insufferable to be around. I was probably also a little addicted to them, though not to the junky level of addiction.

I guarantee you that Meg was on at least hydrocodone, and probably something more potent considering she had just come off of knee surgery (plus she had other issues with her knees).

But regardless, someone being on Vicodin is no reason not to have them on the show. I bet guests have been on actual mood altering medications in the past (hell, I'd be surprised if a number the women on the show over the course of time (including Vanessa) wasn't also on something like Prozac or Zoloft or something).

Being on painkiller can def. put you in a better mood but unless you are use to painkillers you are more goofy on them than anything.
Now if she abused painkillers...the day she didn't have them all she would do is sleep, sweat, and not be fun to be around but still wouldn't alter decisions...she would just have no energy.

Kicking pain killers was the hardest thing ever to do..but I was hooked on 30mg oxy and liked many a day. but if you are on them for just one surgery and take them as prescribed and the doctor doesn't keep refilling you than no something as weak as a Vicodin won't affect your game play.

I often wonder if I have another surgery how i'll go about handling all that. I know Ron Bennington a radio show host I listen to had ihs appendix taken out without pain medicine when he woke up out of fear of getting hooked again. that's hardcore committment.

Amanda was taking tons of Adderall on her season. She talked about ALL THE TIME. That house would seem miserable to me on Adderall.

I have heard them say on a prior season that there is a psychiatrist available to them in the DR, so I wonder if any have ever been prescribed something while on the show.

The house def. takes a psychological toll on people. With NOTHING to do except wait for occasional competition and think about people back stabbing them. I can def. see a script happy doc writing stuff for them while in the house.

I still take adderal even if im just sitting around the house doing nothing. it helps me to focus on what im doing and been on it long enough i'm kinda a zombie with out it. Years ago when I was in the army my first week of basic training I felt like a weak zombie because I didn't take anything wiht me because they said I couldn't even if prescribed. my running, pushups and all took about a week to come back and that was with constant working out

If he would've had a Sports Illustrated to read that would've been cake. I'm thinking a guy like that doesn't have the kind of friends that visit him at the hospital though.

No, the HOH gets a CD of music (that they request) for the week.

The Liz melt right now is glorious. It might make me a bad person but seeing her in tears makes me so happy.

She needed to be brought back down to earth after too many weeks of power.

Does that moron really think that no one was ever going to take a shot at them?

No crap. I wish I wasn't at work so I could watch her squirm. The Austwins only hope now is for Julia to win the veto and save Liz, then that would force Steve to have to put up with JMac or Vanessa who would most likely go home since Liz & Julia would be the deciding votes.

If the noms stay the same, it'll be interesting to see who JMac votes out because he will be the likely deciding vote since Julia would vote to keep Liz, and Vanessa would probably want to keep Austin. I'm betting that JMac will vote out Austin to ensure that Austin and Vanessa don't team up.

I'm not a feeder so bring me up to speed. Who is HOH right now, are liz/austin definitely going to be put up?

Steve won HOH, but nominations haven't technically happened yet. But Steve has just told Austin and Liz that they are going up. I'm not saying they are 100% going up, but I'd put it at 99.99999% that they both go up.
