This movie shows how retarded WB and DC are right now. Batman goes from "beating" Superman to facing off against Death Stroke?

Gee, I wonder who will win? Dumb.

ETA: this all assumes both their moms don't have the same name again.

Do you expect anything different? WB/DC has an uphill battle. I love this idea as do many others, but people will have to see results.

If there's a DC movie to have faith in, it's Afflecks solo film.

DC will keep putting out movies that make a lot of money, and critics will become increasingly angry that no one gives a shite what they think about DC movies anymore, since it has become a foregone conclusion that these movies will be panned by them.

From Umberto's website...

5. Julian Lewis Jones

Last month, Welsh actor Julian Lewis Jones revealed that he had joined the cast of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, though he wouldn’t give away any details about his role. Since the role of Steppenwolf has yet to be cast, many fans think that he’s either playing the villain or another character such as Zeus or the ancient Atlantean King (the role that Kristofer Hivju reportedly turned down), but what if he’s Deathstroke?

4. Gerard Butler

3. Tom Hardy

2. Idris Elba

1. Joe Manganiello

Well, they've already touched upon it in BvS. All they need is a flashback to where Joker kills Robin. Don't see what else you need to set up that they already haven't.

Sorry, I just disagree. The death of Jason Todd was a huge event. The end of Red Hood is far less impactful without an understanding of the character's past. And we haven't had a live action Robin since nipple-gate put an end to Chris O'Donnell's career. Plus, as others said, the story is out there so it wouldn't have the same impact on film if it were done again in another medium.

Would be good, but he's probably Steppenwolf.

Gerard Butler
No.

Tom Hardy
Too short.

Idris Elba
Probably not.

Joe Manganiello
I think he's the most likely choice. I think he fits the role the best physically. I'm not sure how well he'll do from a performance standpoint, though. Maybe he'll surprise us like some other casting choices in the DCEU.

I thought this was the Janet Jackson Superbowl halftime show.

I think Batman Forever was nipplenado.

Anyone who goes in to a comic book movie wondering this is a gibbering idiot.

Umberto's passing around Manganiello's Instagram that he posted from London (where they're shooting JL) with Manganiello sporting a goatee and a high and tight haircut.

Yep. He more than likely went up to London (where JL is in production) to meet with Ben and film some test footage.

Affleck has said recently that he doesn't want to do something where people will already know everything going in. Him saying that may disappoint some people.

Mostly because people would link this to Snyder's line of thinking, "The comic books aren't good enough, I can make things REALER!" Affleck seems to be saying, "Be different, because the comic books aren't surprising enough," it rings the same, although it means something slightly different.

Trying to be too different from the source, and not being able to pull it off, is part of Snyder's problem. Granted, Affleck is a better filmmaker, but just make the dang story. It isn't rocket science.

And no one is going to be surprised by anything you do. Comic Book fans are jaded. Death never means anything. Heroes win. Yada Yada.

Either way, I love Deathstroke, so I'm very happy about this.

He's a good villain for sure, and could make for a great movie.

That's the thinking of most of these comic directors. The stories are close to the comic but vary pretty heavily. That way of thinking is fine, it's the execution. Nolan thought this way as have Marvel film makers. Russos, Singer, etc.

I think his biggest problem was being different in tone from the source (specifically with Superman). He's also just not that good of a film maker and couldn't put a story together well. Just my opinion.

As long as neither Frank Miller nor Alan Moore have done a Batman V Deathstroke comic, we should be good to go.

me too. But how would they fit it in?

First movie:

Introduce the Red Hood at the end of this movie. Have him have a small little part in the movie, but Deathstroke be the main villain. Perhaps red hood can show up at the same time as Batman to fight a crime boss.

At the end, Deathstroke is fighting Batman and possibly almost winning or Batman has him tied up, and have Red Hood kill Deathstroke in front of Batman. Movie ends.

If we are all Joker'd out, you could even have Jason Todd as Robin in the first movie, and have death stroke kill Todd mid-movie, however it is a mysterious death. This would introduce Dick Grayson at the funeral and Nightwing at night after with Batman on a vengeance mission. He tells Nightwing to frick off.

And same ending: At the end, Deathstroke is fighting Batman and possibly almost winning or Batman has him tied up, and have Red Hood kill Deathstroke in front of Batman. Movie ends.

Second movie:

Red Hood is the main villain. Batman is trying to figure out who he is. Figures out its Todd, needs Nightwing's assistance.

The movie ends with Bruce giving up Batman and somehow ending up inside Arkham. Nightwing takes over as the protector of Gotham.

A way to put Bruce in the asylum could be that Red Hood aka Todd dies, Batman is found with his dead body, and Joker frames it as a grave robbing and a murder. That's why the death was mysterious in the first movie.

Third movie:

Lock aging Batman inside Arkham Asylum and have Mark Hamil play the thought dead Joker. He can voice over the asylum PA most of the movie. Nightwing has to break in to save him and they fight their way out together.

That's my dream trilogy, but it won't happen.
